Well it could be a coincidence. People have in fact gone home for reasons other than to escape a PED scandal (does that work as a strat for escaping a PED scandal?)
This type of thing is not evidence for or against so why pretend that it is something significant? I find it frustrating that that now that an accusation is made, every behavior or result from the last 5 years is being viewed as strong evidence of something. When we do this, we don't get closer to the truth and I want the truth to come out. If Salazar is guilty I want him out, any guilty athletes out, and the sport cleaned up. If not, I don't want anyone unfairly accused and USA running further humiliated.
Here are some things that are not evidence of taking PEDS:
Running a hard workout after a race. Running a good time when many others have run such a time before. Being a teenager who leaves a training camp to spend some time at home. Being an American who wins a medal. Having a period of good results followed by some bad ones. Having a period of bad results followed by good ones, if the good ones have been achieved by others many times. Anything you say on Twitter other than admitting you used PEDs.
