is it A/W JrR (under 20) that is Darrell Robinson's 44.69? This is a great time. What a prospect, and a junior at that!

Hard to tie a record when you run slower than the record.

Darrell Robinson's 44.69 is not considered the NFHS record. The NFHS record is 45.19.
Pretty amazing run. Crazy girls 800 and pretty astounding hurdles races as well.
Michael Norman goes 20.30 for 200m

I don't know.
Tell us what the record is.
National: * 45.19 4/24/2012 Aldrich Bailey, Mansfield, TX
the 44.69 was run after Robinson graduated from HS in a meet with pros. the race he ran in was the 1982 National Sports Festival in Indianapolis.
9:53 by Collins and two girls under 4:40. Is the latter a first?
8:47 by Webb rounds it all out.

Collins also ran 4:41. What is the best double at a state meet?

Duh. It's Germans 4:00, 8:34.
But for the ladies... I don't know, but that's a pretty good double especially for a junior. Her team is also RETURNING 8 girls who ran under 11:00 this year for 3200!!! Look for them to get revenge at Nike XC Nationals next year withCollins simultaneously going for the individual title.

Isn't there a certain date it's allowed until? Like Rupps 13:37?

Obea ran 45.14 at age 16. He certainly had not graduated.
Real list of top HS 400 times
44.69 Darrell Robinson (Wilson, Tacoma, Washington) 1982
45.01 Jerome Young (Prince Tech, Hartford, Connecticut) 1995
45.09 Henry Thomas (Hawthorne, California) 1985
45.14 **Obea Moore (Muir, Pasadena, California) 1995
45.16 ————Robinson 1982
45.17 *William Reed (Central, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania) 1987
45.19 Aldrich Bailey (Timberview, Arlington, Texas) 2012
45.22 ————Robinson 1982
45.25 Calvin Harrison (North, Salinas, California) 1993
45.25 LaShawn Merritt (Wilson, Portsmouth, Virginia)
The sub 45.19 times were run with professionals; non high schoolers.
No one I know considers anything other than Robinson's mark the HS record
It was a mark made shortly after graduation and anyone I know uses those marks, ala Rupp 5K etc.
I thought it was any mark made before 8/31
No one? How about the group that lists the 400m records as follows?

Like I said..
I have been following this sport for over 40 years and when the HS record is referred to or challenged..it is ALWAYS the Robinson mark as that standard.

The Robinson mark that is as certainly tainted as any in HS history.

Correct. No one with at least half a brain considers 45.19 the record.
