of cos. its def a plan of alsauce and the lawyers.
what they are really saying is:
show us the evidence. where is the evidence? the truth.
but the truth. if moe called alsauce friday nite he could have gotten the truth there n then. rite? so why cry like a baby in front of media?
so its a really shady affair. the alsauce group cling to the last straw now.
and why do people call him "mo". shud it not be "moe"? like moe greene in godfather and moe in the simpsons???

It's incredibly hard to tell if someone is being sincere, and I think Mo is pretty convincing in that interview clip. I've always seen his career as one of progression and think that he's successful just because he's been so consistent over a long period of time, and he had a breakthrough in training just a little bit later than most people. I really hope Mo himself hasn't doped.
Are you serious??? I just can not believe that some people can be this naive.
People as a rule seem loath to acknowledge that:
* Just because something is technically possible doesn't mean that it is remotely likely.
* As a corollary, just because something hasn't been proven beyond the remotest shadow of doubt doesn't mean that it's reasonable to discard good evidence in its favor.
Serious rhetorical gymnastics and an almost mindless degree of denial are required at this point to not be overwhelmingly suspicious of Salazar and his A-pupils. Of course, those unconvinced of the NOP being steeped in doping can easily dismiss that and similar statements as arrogant and await film footage or signed confessions to formally prove the things they're for whatever reason resistant to believe.

This is a tough situation for Mo Farah. On the one hand, the Panorama program was made and aired by the BBC. On the other hand, he knows that the BBC is the only relevant broadcaster of athletics.
Eurosport is now the main broadcaster of athletics in the UK, having nabbed a 5 year Diamond League exclusive deal (the BBC will show the 2 British events).
Editorial decisions at BBC News are not made on potential TV ratings for sports events.

I personally think Ridley is right on the money. People keep comparing this to Lance
What is this?
Who are you, third tier Let's Run poster boy?
UKA gives Mo Farah a significant amount of taxpayer money every year, they are very much entitled to look at how Farah spends that money, and at Farah's behaviour while he is paid by them, and I as a UK taxpayer, welcome this investigation. I don't believe that it will lead anywhere, nobody at UKA is dumb enough to kill the golden goose, and they are probably as deep in this as Nike, but it is noce to see all the rats panicking.Khgcfghjjhh wrote:

http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/athletics/33034350Dear UK athletics. It's none of your f*ucking biz who an athletes chooses to be coached by. This isn't the Soviet union. People have free will. Particularly runners that basically nobody regards as British except you when want to use him to boost you're medal count. How many days a year does Mo spend in UK territory? Get over yourselves.
The Birmingham Press Conference Release, from Allyson Felix:
Just can't imagine why they didn't have Farah and Salazar in the photo. Must be an oversight, don't you think? The world just changed in the UK.
generally speaking, people are gifted bullshitters.
somehow, we're in incredible denial.
we can't tell our own bullshit from the "truth", perceive a warped reality.
we tend to believe any bullshit over the obvious truth.
such is the madness and "cleverness" of the human.
So many are forgetting that the NOP knew about this story coming out a month ago, it's well documented from AlSal telling the Canadian chief of athletics (don't know his official title). Now Mo acts like he just found out? At least keep your stories straight!
His I called Alberto and asked him if these things were true is total bs, they can't even keep their lies straight anymore! Somebody call Oprah and prepare for the confusion!
Look out Ethiopian national team, your next!
Mo not running today
Statement shortly from mo
Problem for Salazar is, what evidence can he possibly give people? How can he prove a negative that he didn't manipulate the TUE process.
If Salazar genuinely wants to redeem himself, he should want an investigation that systematically interviews the officials and doctors involved. Even then I'm not sure that would exonerate him.
His best hope is to show that he wasn't doping in the first place. Which I actually think he could do. For one thing the Gouchers aren't even accusing him of that. They are just giving the circumstantial evidence that he was manipulating the TUE process to get an IV drip of saline.
On the face of it, that looks bad. Even worse, it could be true. Manipulate the TUE process to get a IV drip of saline when you don't have anything to mask? Who would do such a thing? SALAZAR! That is who. This is the same guy who had Rupp wear the ridiculous asthma mask. He routinely does stuff that doesn't help Rupp at all just for the sake of doing something.
What does an IV drop of saline do?
Totally gutted for MO. its not just a matter of leave your coach. he has a family settled in school and in America. the thought of potentially uprouting them must be very stressful.
So far Marc Dry is the only person guilty of doping. he should get a ban from armature triathlon for 2 years.
Galen does a decent weights program and if was on testosterone would be far more muscular.
Salzar should get on tv and speak up. there is no grey area just rules.
Mo is going back to America to question salazar
Lol
To rehydrate of course. But if you mean what benefits does it have over oral intake of fluids, Apparently athletes feel better doing it. But the science say this is a placebo effect and there are no real benefits. So basically it does about as much good as an allergy mask does preventing the breathing in of pollen.

A saline drip lowers your hematocrit for the doping tests! Probably reduces other PEDs too.

WTF. That would be like interviewing the Brojos to find out if Radcliffe or Regina were guilty. They're simply going to go with their personal loyalties, and that is no kind of evidence.

It re-hydrates,it does not mask/flush your system of drugs. Testing methodology if far more complex in catching presence.
Im not sure how this stupid rumor got started.
The media and athletes have all put their hoping to get published spin on things with zero factual knowledge of what may or may not have happened.
Technical references used are purely based on assumption.
