Interesting if true. Source? [I'm not finding start lists on the meet web site.]

"I think the most obvious reason behind Mary Cain's departure is this investigation and I'm surprised that no one seems to be saying that. It's likely not a coincidence that she decided to leave a couple of weeks before this story came out. The Oregon Project and Alberto Salazar would have known this story was coming for a long time because the journalists reached out to them directly for responses. My guess is that Mary's decision to leave was based on this investigation and not for unrelated personal reasons."
This exactly. (sorry I had trouble quoting in my last 2 posts)
Huh? the question is, what is Cain herself thinking? She's 18 folks, and can think for herself.

I wouldn't trust an 18 yr old to make me a PBJ sandwich.

I would be very impressed if MC faces the world at the adidas meet - the press would be very aggressive and she has been running terribly anyway.
it would be great if she shows up, faces the newsblast and runs well anyway - that would be very cool.
But really I doubt she will run - too much going on

As close as possible
Source said running "in a few weeks" in "New York". Only meet in the area in the next few weeks.
That post about the high school kids and PEDS - where the hell do they get that stuff? I guess I'm naïve but this boggles the mind. The only stuff I got in HS was beer and the occasional joint and that took a lot of maneuvering to accomplish.
What's for dinner?

When she went pro she basically sacrificed her eligibility in the NCAA. She could transfer academically to oregon and then work with andy powell and the other coaches there which would certainly be good but she couldn't be an NCAA athlete. She would have to be unattached and couldn't run at any NCAA conference, regional, or national meets.
Rupp joined NOPe right out of high school, and they made some sort of deal that allowed him to enroll at UO after a year or so.

Not true about "only meet in the area" in the next few weeks. NYRR has meets at Icahn every other Tuesday starting on June 9 until July 21 and some fast people have been known to stop by those when it happens to suit them. See
http://www.nyrr.org/races-and-events/2013/nyrr-tuesday-night-speed-series/resultsfor an example of a women's 1500m at Icahn with a faster winning time than Mary Cain has run so far this outdoor season.

True, knew those went on but didn't think they were THAT fast, and thought she would be running at a major meet.
Personally think this is being made out to be much bigger than it actually is.
Sure she's run some poor races, but she just finished her first year of college in a very difficult academic program because she is a top student. She has to travel back and forth to professional practice with athletes who are committed 100%.
Doesn't she go to UP? Should be easier than Bronxville.

She's in some sort of medical/science program. Those are usually pretty tough from what I have heard.
They are thinking that Salazar probably put baby Galens inside of her since it is all about Galen.

I am also Catholic, and I took zero offense at Rojo's statement. He was merely pointing out a bond that probably exists between those two families.

Dad's a doctor. Do you really think for a moment that MC did not already have access to PEDs and testing labs BEFORE she went to NOP? Look at the facts, she broke a 1500m record by 10 seconds. TEN
Alexa Efraimson broke Hasay's record by 11 seconds, should I expect a huge breakout story on her in a couple of weeks?
