Cain, unlike every other NOP athlete (Ritz, Mo, Levins...) did not lose substantial weight after joining. She may not have taken anything (yet).
Yes, is it coincidence that Hasay and Cain left just prior to the uproar? It could be, but...

Then again, what makes anybody so sure Mary Cain wasn't being doped prior to joining NOP?

Always possible, but she ran a 2:03.xx 800m relay split as a 9th grader, and I see no reason to believe she was doped then, so it seems like a stretch to claim she was doped prior to joining Salazar. Nor does it seem clear to me that she has doped since then [although certainly possible].

I feel for this girl right now. There is likely no way she or her parents could've known they were grabbing a snake by the tail when she signed with Salazar.
I think Google is a good place to start. How could you not of known.
I've not seen any evidence that any drugs work to help anyone run faster, and certainly not any healthier, making these accusations totally irrelevant.

There never will be any evidence that they work, only accusations and propaganda, as these are what increase the sales for big pharma. Anyone who works in big pharma knows this, and it should be obvious to anyone else who's been paying attention.
She should have taken the scholarship. I've said this from the beginning. No good ever come out going pro at such young age. This is not a sports where they throw tons of money your way anyway. Why the hurry?

I can!! They're thinking, I wish those stupid LR'ers would quit trying to think what we're thinking and leave us alone!!
The public is extremely gullible to advertising, and accusations get their attention. Most people believe anything they see or hear on the news.

+1
Kind of bummed for her right now.

Wait, Hasay left? I thought she was just injured....?
obviously her and her parents got word of this all coming out and pulled her out of Oregon several weeks ago. Her leaving was her distancing herself before the shit hit the fan

Seriously, how can your grammar be this bad? I'm trying to help you. Read what you wrote out loud and see if it sounds right.

Whatever old man. Pronouns are a thing of the past, anyway. They don't worry about those in school anymore (i.e. Caitlyn Jenner). Get with the times.

Mary is a psychopath and just doesn't care. She's as filthy as centro and rupp. She'll probably get away without a blemish, and all her little fanboys will give her a pass. Interesting that her life hero is the doping psychopath Mary Decker.
This is an interesting angle to take: the "Mary is a psychopath and just doesn't care." Very different from the "Oh, dear Mary," line.
In this whole Nike Oregon University Project mess, there is certainly a helluva lot of psychopath-like behavioral patterns going on. At the very minimum, some situational psychopathy by otherwise normal and rule-abiding people.
Is there anything someone could read to support this "Mary the psychopath just doesn't care" and "her parents pimped her out" and "she's as filthy as ____," stuff ?? I mean, do you like have any photos of her medical charts from when she was 16 and Alberto and his Nike doctor were giving her testosterone?
Photos? We don't need no stinkin photos of medical charts. All NOPers are dopers.
Her parents couldn't get her on the NOPe dope train fast enough. Mary has never shown anything but an exalted sense of entitlement and narcissism.
Hasay is in Park City as we speak. She's still with NOP. I saw her just today in Provo. Where do you guys come up with this stuff?

What age is too young for us to suspect drug use? One year younger than the age Rupp started on testosterone? Two years younger? A year or two OLDER maybe? Funny, but a lot of people would choose the latter if they didn't know the facts.
When I taught school, there was an 8th grade kid in the school who got caught with steroids. Sure, that's probably very rare, but it happens, and a HS sophomore running an NCAA-scoring time seems far more likely to be juiced than some formerly fat kid trying to be a star in his thoroughly average middle school football league. Yes, I'm aware young girls can often run faster than boys the same age, but a 4:11 1,500 as a sophomore is a huge outlier by any standard. It doesn't PROVE drug use, but given the state of T&F, obliterating any national record - even a HS record - HAS to come under suspicion.
Mary is going back to NY to be coached by John Henwood - who led her to the greatest success before she headed west. Henwood will get her back to running PR's.
A lot of professional athletes see things and don't say anything because they are too scared of Nike and USATF shutting them down. I run with professionals sometimes (on their easy days) and have heard many stories about first hand experiences with NOP and things that they've seen at meets. For example, one of them told me once that she was in the warm up tent where coaches are not allowed right before a race getting her uniform and number all ready. Mary Cain was there. She saw two coaches come in with a cooler, take out a medication, draw it up and give Mary Cain an injection right before the start of a race. It's possible that Mary Cain didn't even know that it was anything but B12 or something else benign. It could have very well been benign, however that is very strange behavior and very fishy. Why is there so much suspicion surrounding the NOP? Because people DO see things like that but don't stand up and report it. It does get whispered around though. I hope more athletes start to tell the truth and their stories about what is really going on there. So the Gouchers and the coach and the massage therapist are all lying? That's a big lie to tell for a lot of risk. What about the others (I hope the others will come forward)? Suspicion like this does not come out of nowhere.
