I don't know when Gay is going to talk about his 'situation', but I do know he wants to talk. From what I gather, information Gay provided is part of ongoing investigation(s).

Tyson was a very different personality from Gatlin and other dopers. He was very outspoken about doping. He was also a very humble guy. He gave a lot of money to his old high school. He got such bad nerves before races that he would have to call his mom to talk him down.
He was coming off of his hip surgery when he got into trouble for doping. He may have wanted to push the envelope with supplements to try to get back to 100%. I am sure that his handlers wanted him to dope to get him back into top shape after the injury and get him racing Bolt at a time when Bolt was not looking sharp.
If anyone could be believed to have gotten in trouble due to ignorance, it would be Tyson Gay. When he got caught, he went right in and cooperated with USADA. Gatlin came up with the BS sabotage story. Tyson is probably going to help take down some people who were very close to him.

This is equal to Livestrong making charity. But doesn't mean that he wasn't aware of his doping.

Livestrong was a money machine. He basically gave high earning jobs to friends and family. Livestrong gave very little money to actual cancer research.

Right, and it also served as a "cancer shield" for claims of Armstrong doping, which has been extensively documented. I think that's the part Ben was referring to.
No, but having your level of reading comprehension clearly would make someone an imbecile. I said that it hints at it, as in stupid athletes would not get into a 4 yr school - not that only idiots go to a JC. Hopefully this round wasn't over your head as well.

... apparently $580 million has in the past 15 years. That seems like a lot to me.

No, this is very misleading. That is the total amount of funds they have raised. Almost all of their money goes into programmatic costs related to "raising cancer awareness". Very little has ever gone to supporting research and they no longer give any to cancer research. This has been extensively documented.

Jon Drummond came on a facebook running group. He rambled on about God as well as some other stuff vaguely then when asked for more about the case disappeared

Right, think billboards, TV commercials, internet traffic, magazine ads, ...
But also payroll to his friends and family that were "employed" by Livestrong.

Yes.
Anybody who equates intelligence with a level of formal Western education is not extremely bright IMO.
I earned a doctorate in engineering and have met people who were equally intelligent but would have wasted their talents obtaining advanced degrees. They obtained the optimal amount of education needed to perform in their respective arena, and went on to educate themselves through experience.
Would you say that Gay is smart if he obtained a PhD in philosophy instead of training? No. That is stupid. He is a professional athlete, not a philosopher.
Besides, it looks to me as if he schooled an ivy league grad who had ample opportunity to plan his interview scenarios.
Yes, I know. This has all been out there for a while. Frustrating that people keep buying into the "cancer research" and other myths.http://www.outsideonline.com/1904781/its-not-about-lab-rats

Being unaware of what he was using is the only scenario that fits the facts. He failed a string of both out of competition and in competition tests and was using the DHEA product at the US Championships. No one who knows that they are using an illicit product uses it during a multi-day championships in which they know they will be tested in multiple instances.
I don't know Tyson personally, but was able to spend some time around him some and talk to people who did know him personally. He seemed like a very good, nice, and respectable guy. Obviously that doesn't mean he couldn't have knowingly doped, but he doesn't really fit the usual mold. Knowing a little bit about him, I really do believe he could have been taken advantage of by coaches, trainers, etc, kind of like he was just a racehorse others were profiting from... Having seen a number of athletes get outed the past 10 years, I've seen how they typically respond. Tyson's responses always seemed genuine to me, more genuine than others anyway. Compare the way Tyson talks about his ban and drug use and the way Gatlin talks about his ban and drug use, for example.

Nearly 2/3rds went directly to cancer research in one way or another, about equal to some of best run charities. Livestrong is/was a very legit charity.

This is patently false. Very little money ever went to cancer research from Livestong. Did you even read the link? Have you read livestrong's own statements about how much they give to cancer research?
That is not saying that the entire thing was a fraud--they apparently spent a lot of money on "cancer-awareness" raising activities. People may have their own views on the value of such programs but they are not CANCER RESEARCH!
He said he was 'let down by somebody'
That is pretty vague would you not say that i was was sabotaged, set up or similar language
Typical letsrun approach Rupp is doping off scant evidence. Mo is a doper off zero evidence
A convicted doper in drug riddle sprinting is innocent because he seems like a nice guy. How did he run such fast times clean don't you improve with roids. If the roids were not effective why would a coach give them
Its all bs and only the gullible believe he ran as fast or faster than all the other dopers clean
If he's a nice guy let him send me back the money i bet on him then lost when he was busted. He's robbed other athletes of millions but still he seems like aa nice guy let him off.
You are a gullible mug wake up!
If Mo is busted I would happily se him banned for life and would not believe any word he said. They are probabbly all doping when they fail a test they are 100% on it and not little children or dumb horses. They are at it and know it!

According to the investigation and his own admittance Gay suspected what he was taking might be illegal. He didn't know for sure. At a bare minimum we know he was willing to stay ignorant and risk it. What we don't know is if after that initial confusion he willfully stayed ignorant or did knowingly abuse it.
