Bruce Jenner is a man and will always be a man. I disagree with the notion that a man should be recognized as woman because he has a wig and makeup on.

No. Like I said he will always be man. I don't think sex can be changed. It's more than body parts. Bruce has lived as a man for 65 years. Why would he become a woman now? All of his memories and history is a man. You can't change your past.

This is my theory.

Bruce, err, Caitlin, took a variety of performance enhancing drugs in order to win hir Olympic Gold Medal in 1976. These drugs caused irreparable damage to hir hormones, and slowly, chemically, deteriorated hir gender identity over the years that followed (also, living in the Khadarshian household is enough to emasculate any man).

Rather than risk being stripped of the paramount of achievement of hir life, Bruce, I mean, Caitlin, decided to succumb to the hormonal confusion raging within hir, and become a "woman", explaining the decision as some kind of fullfilment of a strange childhood identity crisis rather than blame PED's.

He may now be a she, but at least she's got gold.

My issues appear to be much different...

I know the guy has been having serious internal debates for a long time and I hope that he is finding happiness. This can not be an easy thing to go through, even in an accepting society (which we do not have).

My issue is his decision to pose on the cover of Vanity Fair in lingerie (bathing suit?). Why can't he have some fcking self respect and not act like one of the Khardashian ladies?

I would have an issue with most 65 year old women posing in lingerie on the cover of a magazine. It is classless. Plus, we all know he has a penis tucked under his legs. I mean, the whole thing is just stupid.

And this is coming from someone who is actually okay dealing with most of the issues coming with the trans movement. I want trans people to find acceptance and be happy.

He started messing with hormones decades ago. He has felt this way for decades if not his entire life. He has been wearing women's clothing in secret for a long time. He is just now making this public. Does that make you rethink your argument at all?

Also, you said that it is bad because it costs money? Women pay money for breast enhancement. They are obviously not happy with themselves naturally, and want to augment themselves. Are they bad?

It seems that you are using arbitrary standards for judging whether something is good or bad, which is akin to absolute morality - another controversial yet generally frowned upon thought process on this forum.

Besides, you've been sucked into a troll post multiple times and refuse to acknowledge that, so I don't know how seriously we should take your arguments. There have been much more nuanced and well-thought out posts arguing against Bruce's conduct, so you'll have to forgive me if I don't engage any further.

"Whatever reasons?" The women with breast implants are getting them because they are not happy with the way they look. The reasons are often sexual. They are asking to be accepted as a woman with enhanced breasts.

So women with enhanced breasts are not looking for attention? You are ok with them paying money to change their bodies through surgery, regardless of their reasons, but say it is "bad" when others do the same? Try to be consistent.
