Watching the interview I will say I don't think it was necessarily the right setting for the prodding of that topic (completely irrelevant to a pre-meet discussion, only relevant when looking at performances) but I admire the consistently strong stance that LRC and the brojos have taken against doping and that they will bring it up in all circumstances, and if these are the best times for them to get close to such athletes then fire away. They need that kind of shit rattling around in their brains before competitions if they don't have a clean conscience.
This is why I like the Brojos and this site. Sure they may be a little silly sometimes, but they ask the questions no one else will.
The talk turned to doping when a foreign journalist asked Gatlin about a study with mice that showed the effects of doping could linger well after the doping stopped. Gatlin was asked what he thought about the study.
Gatlin said, “I think it’s ridiculous. My situation was 2006 – that was a decade ago… they need to go and see what is happening in the medical world, don’t come to me with that. A lot of people have been in the same situation I have been in….I’m not sure why you would match a laboratory mouse to a human being, that’s unfathomable to me.”
What a moron.

I'll add that Nike's sponsorship of Gatlin is absolutely embarrassing
More than anything I just think that its an important topic to address because it is on everyones minds. Its what people want to hear about, you cant simply ignore it.

Well why would you match a lab mouse to a human?

This man makes me sick. He's a pro at lying. You can tell how manipulative he is when in a split second he goes from a livid maniac attacking the reporters who ask him tough questions on doping to this super nice guy laughing and joking around when the same reporters ask him sugar coated questions about racing Usain Bolt. In a split second he goes from maniac to nice guy. Who does this? This man reminds me of Carmelita Jeter and Lance Armstrong who does exactly the same thing. Dopers to the gills and they are disgusting. It's sick what they have done to sport and the fans of the sport. Made a mockery out of it.

roid rage! lay off the T!
I think it's a total db move by wejo aimed at nothing more than attracting attention to himself and his website.
Let's get over the faux outrage people. If anyone thinks only those that have been caught are using, they are complete idiots.
If you want to break some news, go find out who is using NOW.

Hi Justin
It is hysterical to me, that some dwell on sprint dirty marks or guys
When this is mainly a distance running forum and guys from El G to Bekele to Komen? were so dirty no one sasy jack, relative to those marks.
They are ridiculously obscenely dirty
As far as Gatlin goes, he was a horror show talent, from HS dirty or not. Bolt who must be so dirty he barely competes anymore gets no crap from anyone. 9.58 when Ben Johnson was so dirty at 9.79 , really?

Because they're both mammals, and probably 99% of what you read in a science textbook is based on non-human research.
Yes, but drugs work in wildly different manners depending on the mammal.
Give your dog some advil tonight.

Drugs are wt and species dependent and calculated appropriately.
Hmm. Food for thought.
