Farah is great but if you are talking about being the GOAT - greatest of all time - no freaking way.The LetsRun.com staff discussed this at length earlier this year: I suggest you read what we wrote about it then as it was 3 to 1 against Mo being even considered for GOAT status.http://www.letsrun.com/news/2015/02/the-letsrun-com-staff-civil-war-can-mo-farah-be-considered-the-goat-greatest-of-all-time/John Kellogg was ADAMANT that talk of him being the GOAT is a joke. ""With a few more gold medals, Farah will have to be acknowledged as the best in terms of global track championship honors won. But in terms of overall status, I’d put both Paul Tergat and (barely) Sileshi Sihine ahead of Farah. They didn’t win any WC or OG golds, but their losses came to the two runners who are truly up for discussion as GOAT.......So far, Farah is nowhere near Geb and Bekele in terms of overall accomplishments. He’s going to need to win some more huge races and/or set some world records on the track and at least one other surface before he has his name thrown into the hat for GOAT runner."

3) Despite what I just said, All serious track fans would have picked Farah over the field in any 3k-10k he ran from 2012-2014 fast or slow (his prime, possibly still going). I could count on one hand how many times they were wrong. There was little question that he would win when he stepped on the track.
Frankly, I hate seeing Mo win. The sit and kick races bother me to no end when they know Mo is in the field. But don't deny how great he has been these last couple of years.
You are missing a big thing. The 10k talent is running the marathon nowadays. In previous eras, the most talented distance runners were running the track. Now they are not.
Another point, Farah's double is certainly to be commended but I don't hold it against Geb. Geb never tried it at the Olympics. You had to run a ton of rounds and it just wasn't worth it for him. Do you not think he EASILY would have done it in 1996? So to say Farah did it but not Geb isn't fair as you had to run a lot more rounds.
