No Ben True?
Only two USA 10k runners for a USA based meet. How sad...

True got his world qualifier at Payton Jordan so no surprise there. Estrada and Mead need it.
Real question is: what is Chris (no world qualifier) Derrick thinking? Is he healthy? Is he planning to take the pace at USAs?
Maybe he needed a break after World xc. Would have been a good idea to get the qualifier in 2014, since the 10K is the one track race where the window is open the year prior.
Farah vs. a whole lot of Kenyans including Tanui and Kamworor
Men’s 10,000 Meters
Mo Farah (Great Britain) 26:46.57
Josphat Kipkoech Bett (Kenya) 26:48.99
Paul Kipngetich Tanui (Kenya) 26:49.41
Emmanuel Kipkemei Bett (Kenya) 26:51.16
Kenneth Kiprop Kipkemoi (Kenya) 26:52.65
Geoffrey Kirui (Kenya) 26:55.73
Titus Kipjumba Mbishei (Kenya) 26:59.81
Geoffrey Kamworor (Kenya) 27:06.35
Teklemariam Medhin (Eritrea) 27:16.69
Cameron Levins (Canada) 27:27.96
Diego Estrada (USA) 27:32.90
Hassan Mead (USA) 27:49.43
Look, I've just posted a thread about why I think Farah doesn't deserve mention among the greats, but let's be fair here. Farah is #16 ALL TIME. The only men who have run faster in the past 5 years are (drum roll):
Kenenisa Bekele- no longer on the track.
Lucas Rotich- who knows
Galen Rupp- happens to be running the 5k even though it would be a lot more exciting if he ran the 10k.
The 32-year-old is the fastest British runner in history at every championship distance from 1500 meters (3:28.81) to the marathon (2:08:21).
The British record in the marathon is still Steve Jones' 2:07:13 from Chicago 1985. Farah is the English record holder.
Giddy up Hassan Mead

That's 15 greater only considering time, not considering Viren, Zatopek et al, who were FAR better and greater than. Not to be mentioned in the same sentence, Farah. When he breaks the 10k WR, let me know.

Yup, as expected, the field was picked to make sure Farah had the best PR to make sure he maximizes the victory potential. Typical.
Just like in the 3000 he just lost?

Some competitors can't be bought.
Remember, Mo didn't have that pop in his legs (juice) in his most recent outing. It was only a 3000, but still couldn't kick like he normally does.
We'll see how he fairs in a 10k
Yeah, I'm waiting on Ventolin's prediction to see how fast Farah will run (26:10??) Everybody knows the world record is rubbish...

Except Farah didn't have the best PR in that field...in fact, Farah's 3k PR wouldn't have even been in the top 5 in that race.

IDIOT!
Farah is not in best shape currently. 26:07 is possible.
Look for record closer to peak. Not at Pre.

Only a FOOL thinks he cannot break record. Could KB run 3:28?

Was that race a PR for Mo?
Based on how tanui ran in Japan for the World Lead a couple of weeks ago, I doubt that it will be a jog and kick. Tanui is a legit contender and he's not just gonna get beat easy. Kamworor said he's gonna hang on the pacers and then take the lead and push. He's looking for a fast time and farah's sit and kick b.s. is gonna get left in the dust if he doesn't want to run tempo midway through. Tanui first, kamworor second, more third.
