There will never be another MJ.. It's like comparing soccer players to Pele.
I enjoyed watching MJ more, especially in those years when he was starting out and going at the Piston and Celtics. His 37 pp season was epic. He was graceful, acrobatic, competition and committed to defense. Lebron is great in many ways as well. He is impressive physically but more in a Karl Malone way. Less fun.
Karl Malone vs Tim Duncan is a similar comparison. Malone a beast and Duncan a finesse guy. Duncan has all the rings and Malone none.
Dr J vs Charles Barkley. Dr J a high flying finesse and Barkley power rebounding machine. Dr J has ring Barkley none.
Hakeem vs Wilt both have rings. Wilt dominate powerful scoring machine who set the standard all centers will be measured against. However, Hakeem is the best all round basket ball player ever hands down. A 7ft player that had the speed, footwork, ball handling and shooting skill of an all star guard with the low post strength, defense, shot blocking and scoring chops of an all star center. Watching him chase down Kevin Johnson of the Suns and swat away a fast break layup from behind was truly an all time highlight. How many 7ft players have chased down an all star point guard and get a clean block from behind and then come back down court and school defenses with headbob fakes, spins and Jordanlike drives to the basket or fade away jump shots.......none.......
