Go Alexa!
Very cool!
Are you going Friday night? If Rupp has a good race, the crowd will really get into it. That's always fun.

Go Alexa!
We are thinking about Friday.........but Saturday for sure. This 1500 is the reason that we are going.
How cool is that? wrote:

The 1500 will be the greatest thing in the world...except for a nice mutton, lettuce, and tomato sandwich; where the mutton is nice and lean, the tomatoes ripe. I love that!

Totally agree. I have also heard media announce that Simpson is the first US female to ever win the diamond league 1500m title which is also not true. That distinction belongs to Uceny.

It's a brilliant bit of product placement by Mackey. She arranged things so you don't see the Nike swooshes on the uniform, but you do see her Brooks trainers. Both hiding the swoosh and showing the Brooks logo violate the rules about logos and national team clothing. There was a bit of kerfuffle when she posted it. If you are looking for reasons why Nike wouldn't invite Mackey to the Pre, this picture would be a big one..

Fatboy5001 we are going to hold you to that. Maybe some tassles.
I believe 4:02 is possible this season, it has been the goal since last year. When she opened with a 4:09 I felt like 3:59 might be possible this season. This opinion was mainly due to my knowledge of the training we had done to that point. I also know that Alexa's sickness this winter set her on a completely different trajectory, so we will see. It's going to be an amazing race. To the person who referenced Webb, I love the comparison to his senior year. We'll see!!!

FWIW, I don't see any evidence that Nike treats Brooks differently from any other shoe company.
