Amans move to the OTC doesn't look great right now!
Take it easy on him - he's about to turn 40
17yo in lane 2 of this 200m kaylin whitmney
21.98WL for felix, 1.6 wind. dominating win
Ha - nice!
Pretty boring meet for men's distance running. Why are there only the two events, 800m and 3000m? Why no 1500m 5000m, or steeplechase? Seems like a waste of a meet to do all of this publicity and then have such a limited slate of events.
6/8 of 100mH ladies are american
my bets on jasmin stowers, guessing 12.42 if no wind
12.35 - if that clock is right !! (probably wrong again)
12.35 for stowers. DLR/MR
holy crap
all-time top 10
legal wind
So far. We've had two big developments. Negative and positive.
Negatives
1) Abebe Aregawi looked AWFUL in the women's 1500. Yes I know she stumbled 100 meters in but even the commentator basically said it. She looks chunky.
2) Mo AMan also was equally AWFUL looking in the men's 800.
In terms of positives.
1) The Ethiopian Dawit Sayeum is totally legit. People talk about NOP runners dodging runners but Sayeum is the reason why Mary Cain ran the 3000 last summer at WOrld Juniors. She picked up her first DL win .
2) Souleiman is a beats. Sub 13:20 and sub 1:44 in the span of 3 weeks.
7th all time for stowers. 0.9 wind (probably equal to my predicted 12.42 with 0.0 wind)
steeple up next
aisha praught just ran a huge 1500 PR
will it translate? it's probably hot temps in doha but water in steeple keeps it a bit cooler
i'm gonna say 9:31 PR for praught, winner at 9:19
3:06-3:07 is pacer target for 1000
No idea about that steeple, haven't followed the event so much last year.
The heat puts a fast time in the 3000m under question, what do you reckon?
Of course, it's still 40 minutes to the start, but I don't think it will cool down that much, will it?!
Christian Taylor on that Nike money now.
...But jumping in Adidas spikes? Weird.

3:05.xx at 1k
the kenyan pacer is still in it and looks easy, but drops at 2k in 6:19
praught not with the main pack but close
Pacer won it.
actually the pacer is still running...in 2nd
AND THE RABBIT WINS IT. nyambura. 30+ sec PR
no way. 9:21, barely beat alayew
the kenyan women have finally figured out the steeple maybe
praught 9:40.58
The steeple is much more exciting when Coburn is in it. She may not win often, but she makes the field hurt and always gets after it.
maybe nyambura was told to just stay ahead of alayew for as long as possible and she didnt know she was allowed to stop
Is there a rule against attaching a helium balloon to yourself while running a road race?
Jakob Ingebrigtsen has a 1989 Ferrari 348 GTB and he's just put in paperwork to upgrade it
How rare is it to run a sub 5 minute mile AND bench press 225?
Am I living in the twilight zone? The Boston Marathon weather was terrible!
