It was an old cemetery out in the middle of nowhere in the woods. Most were born late 1700's. They were a cool piece of history.

Possibly jail but there is no such thing as Hell. How exactly can a graveyard be abandoned? It's not like people can leave.
Leave it alone out of respect.
... there is no such thing as Hell.
But you'll never know by living. Only your dying will tell.
there are a lot of small abandoned cemeteries that folks know about.... the thing had been there, what 300 years, and you're the jerk that took it.
What are you going to do with it? Use it as tacky room decor for a year and then toss it on a move?
Put it back. Respect the dead.
Defiling a grave isn't in and of itself a damnable offense. You'll probably just be haunted by the pissed off ghost of the deceased.
Naaah, scratch that. If you get caught, you'll be haunted alright, but it will be by the living relatives of the deceased, the cemetery staff and the local cops.
At what point is it considered OK to dig people back up ? This happens all the time to the Egyptians etc.
Obviously a troll, because nobody is that pathetically disrespectful. If this is real then you are the biggest piece of crap loser in the history of the world.

A number of year ago, a group of us built this fort out of scrap wood in a nearby woods. One of the guys stole an old tombstone because he thought it would be cool to have in the fort.
Bad things started to happen to him. Two days after he took it his dog got hit by a car (dog survived). A week after he stole it his dad got a heart attack and was placed into intensive care. The next morning my friend returned the tombstone.
Later that same night his mother told him his dad died. Returning the tombstone didn't help.
Maybe it was all just coincidence but we never went near that old fort again. We never spoke of the tombstone again either, ever............until now.
...and now that you've all read this post, the curse is passed onto you!!
I wouldn't touch the tombstone, you never know who visits and it may mean something to someone.
But that begs the question, why do we care what happens to ourselves or others once they are dead? I mean it's useless to put the body in a casket etc. Cant we just burn them and throw them away?
I never thought of this! I am taking it back tomorrow!
The popup ad on this thread for the garden tool set with the little shovel and spade is funny and a bit weird. Everything you would need to dig up a dead body?
Trying to be helpful ?

Don't worry man. I'm sure it was just all just coincidence...... but it wouldn't hurt to return it AND purchasing life insurance (including extended family members) is never a bad idea.
Also, keep the dog inside.

The dead do not care. They are dead.

I agree. Funerals cost so much, and all the chemicals in the body and on the casket just seep into the ground and contaminate the ground water. and cemeteries take up tons of space, it just makes more sense to donate organs and cremate. It would be kind of cool to end up as compost.
I guess cemeteries are beautiful in an eerie kind of way though.
Have you SEEN Poltergeist?
YOLO. I agree with the comments about respect, but thrills are always fun.
