If Goodell has any brains, he will capitulate. The NFL does not want thus to go to federal court.

It's really all about getting back and Belichek for his successes and attitude.
...if we see Belichek wearing a blazer and tie on the sidelines this year, we'll know why.
If this goes to court, the the NFL will almost certainly lose. Brady is no dummy. He knows the NFL is in an indefensible position and he's going to hold their feet to the fire.
What a surprise more stories are coming out. Cannot believe this is not over and done with. Had the initial penalty been even remotely close to the historical precedent the NFL has set for tampering with equipment (a warning, a small fine, etc) this would be over and done with. Instead we get a three ring circus inside a kangaroo court. Kudos to Brady for taking the NFL to task on the insanity of a 4 game suspension.
The hearing was scheduled to end at 5:30, but is still going as we approach 7 PM eastern. And they had to move the hearing to a larger room because of the abundance of those participating. Unfortunately, it could be as long as a month before we get a ruling.
What a crock!!! On to federal court.

A month before a ruling? LOL. You are wrong on every front. The 4-game is here to stay.
I believe this is a huge blunder by the NFL. They're going to get their shit handed to them in court. TB12 won't miss a game.

Hey, Sally, look at the date he wrote that. You're wrong, not him n

I seriously doubt that. Brady would face perjury charges. He could have turned over the relevant e-mails. The bottom line: Brady and Belichick are cheaters. Embarrassing. Their whole careers are tainted.

You are right. I was wrong on that.
What emails? You're confusing TB12 with Hillary, dumbass.

Honestly, where is the evidence he cheated? From everything I've read, the Wells report has been discredited. Or am I wrong?
Zero texts or emails indicating Brady wanted the balls lower than regulation air pressure, yet texts that show Brady reminded the ball boys to make sure the refs had the balls within the legal range.
If he did cheat, isn't it the equivalent of receivers wearing 'stick 'em' on their gloves?

Text messages
I have not been following this closely, but Brady refused to turn over text messages. Not cell phone - but just text messages. Now, his cell phone is apparently destroyed. This parallels HRC's abuses at State Dept.

It's not that he didn't comply, he destroyed his phone with evidence on it. Do you really think Brady would go as far as destroying evidence if it wouldn't damage his reputation? If it was some questionable language that could have been interpreted the wrong way, he could take it to his lawyer and have his opinion on it it was damning or not. Then destroy it if it would hurt him. If there was nothing on there, he gets a slap of the wrist from the NFL because he is Tom Brady and when discussing his name in the future no one would even remember or it would be laughed about.
Brady has the career accolades, the super bowls, the records etc. and now that his reputation is being called into question, he wants it cleared by any means necessary. Here are some questions I would like to ask Tom.
What was on the phone?
And
If there was nothing in the phone, why was it destroyed?
There is no way to answer this question without looking guilty, you could even just ask why the phone was destroyed and he would still be screwed. Tom is a cheater and deserves every ounce of the suspension. The patriots are cheaters that don't care about the integrity of the game and haven't learned not to cheat, they deserve multiple years of no draft picks, cap penalties and hefty fines, or they clean house and bellichek and anyone else involved is kicked out of football.
Geez, Sally, you've really been stepping in it today. Off your game for sure.

Yet you call him a cheat and profess that his career is tainted? Again, even if true, deflated footballs are a very, very minor infraction.
I hope Brady takes the NFL to federal court.
Just curious on what you are basing his guilt upon? Have you read the rebuttals to the Wells report? To find him guilty based on the 'evidence' available to the public, I don't see how any unbiased person could conclude he's guilty.
I don't know why Brady refused to give up his phone, but I also know that none of the texts from the ball boys' phones implicate Brady. If anything, they indicate he expected them to make sure the balls were within the legal range.

Cheating is not a very, very minor infraction. Brady and Belichick stonewalled from Day 1. Tom Brady, whom I have admired in the past, refused to turn over his text messages. He was very uncooperative. He did not have to turn over his phone. Just the text messages. Now, his phone has been destroyed. The integrity of the game is not a trivial matter. That is why he received a relatively long suspension. If Brady and coach were innocent, they could have been just a tiny bit cooperative. They could not even do that.
