I'm surprised the NFL is doing this considering they play in the $eason opener on a Thur night vs the Steelers. Maybe it'll draw more interest to the opener. Do they still have the backup who played well at Kansas City for a quarter or so?
Knowing the NFL, Brady will probably be suspended for a half.
The NFLPA has no love for Brady considering his willingness to restructure his contract to free up cap space, but if they don't have his back on this they are screwing future players. The Wells report is full of holes and leaps in judgment. There isn't a shred of evidence, circumstantial or otherwise, that Brady ordered the balls be deflated below the league minimum level. There is circumstantial evidence that Brady cared about the inflation level (like every damn QB probably does) and prefers the balls softer.
In any event, it shouldn't be more than two games for what amounts to a fairly minor rules violation that has no demonstrable effect on performance.
Deflate footballs slightly below the league minimum = two games
Beat your fiance senseless in an elevator = two games

Yea this is another bad mark for Goodell.
1) ray rice gets 2 games
2) Greg hardy does something similar to rice, except he has LESS legal ramifications, yet he gets 10 games
3) Now Brady does something that the NFL doesn't actually care about because they hardly regulate it, and he's probably going to get 2 games minimum.
Goodell does whatever the fake outrage tells him to do
We've already cashed the checks!
LOL @ you suckers....
It's not the football deflation that will get him the suspension, it's the LYING about the football deflation that will get him the suspension.
Once again, the cover up is worse than the deed.
Damn. I thought you meant Tom Hammond.
Jimmy Garropolo is his back up he is pretty swarthy, maybe it's happening already....

No doubt about it. LOL. Watch as the rules change over the next few years to make the QB position evolve into something similar to what is seen in colleges, all the better to provide more melanin enriched QB's to continue the social conditioning the NFL so vitally helps provide in modern Amerika.

Does Paulo know where to find you?
The main point of the report was to clear the NFL of incompetence on behalf of its referees and what goes on behind the scene-the picture of a goat rodeo. The media glommed onto "Tom's guilty (maybe)".

Oh, boo hoo. Poor Baltimore lost a game. Sour grapes. Get over it.
Brady is one of the best ever, this is a tempest in a teapot.
Brady up there with Joe Montana.
football penalties are infractions by individuals (for the most part) during the game to gain an advantage over your opponent (off sides, illegal motion, illegal formation, etc...).
Did New England (Tom Brady) willfully deflate the balls in secret, knowing the rules to avoid a penalty? Yes!
Was the team penalized? No! They are still "Super Bowl Champs".
The game results should be vacated.
Play the game again!
This time in mud with now grass or turf, no practicing allowed,, with equally pressurized balls, next week!
Would anyone be interested?

Results vacated? Duh. By the way the balls were above the legal limit in the super bowl.
by natural means, not by manual manipulation (cheating).
Agreed. You can even argue that Montana's best receiver (Rice) admitted to cheating by using stickum, so even Montana's 4 SBs deserve a giant asterisk.

Why is this cheating if both teams used the same balls?
They don't use the same balls. They SHOULD. But each team brings 12 balls to be used while their team is on offense.

Just to be clear, those that want Brady suspended also want every other QB in the league suspended as well right?
Is there a rule against attaching a helium balloon to yourself while running a road race?
Am I living in the twilight zone? The Boston Marathon weather was terrible!
How rare is it to run a sub 5 minute mile AND bench press 225?
Move over Mark Coogan, Rojo and John Kellogg share their 3 favorite mile workouts
Mark Coogan says that if you could only do 3 workouts as a 1500m runner you should do these
Red Bull (who sponsors Mondo) calls Mondo the pole vaulting Usain Bolt. Is that a fair comparison?
