I've read every page but have never posted.
Mike, you cheated. At Via. And in a Turkey Trot, Mike. Lashing out at the "trolls" only further proves your guilt. It's not just 12 skinny guys who think you cheated. It's all the others, like me, who read this board and don't post. It's your friends, your neighbors. And your family, Mike. They know too. EVERYBODY knows.
In a few weeks I'll do my second marathon. I'm slow. My time will suck. I won't qualify for Boston. But my accomplishment won't be diminished. My friends and family will still congratulate me. Most will be in awe simply because I got out there and ran. They'll think nothing less of me because I didn't BQ. I can enjoy a casual run, the fresh air, moving as fast or as slow as I chose that day. The wonderful, awesome joy of just going for a run. A beautiful gift. I won't be subject to a lifetime of faking my Nike + log, of posting threats on Twitter, and of cringing every time someone Googles my name.
Speaking of Google - it's rough, man. It will take months or years to change the relevance rankings. At a minimum, you should separate your business Twitter (you know, when you party with your "friends") from your Middle School Girl Twitter. Clients don't like seeing their wedding professional making death threats.
And - Where is the DQ loser? Your latest attack line is as effective as all the others. A DQ would be great, but it won't tell us anything we don't already know. You know it, I know it, we all know it. Happy Running!!
