It's pretty much meaningless.
1) The only thing that picture proves is that his phone traveled that course at some unknown time and at some unknown speed. He could have very well driven it this morning. In the Nike Running app, you can edit the date/time, the distance, the duration and your pace. You can also edit it at the end of your run or days after the fact.
2) It was almost certainly edited... Nike Running color codes the line based on your fastest and slowest paces along the route. Here's some applicable sample routes that show this:

3) Look in the circled area:
http://imgur.com/3LDBdK7That's how Nike Running shows that you paused then restarted your run. I would expect that if you're moving at a 6:28 pace that there would be a gap on the map that shows the distance you covered while it was paused. It would take a few seconds after it paused to react then fumble with your phone to unpause it. There is no gap.
For an example of what you should expect to see, look at this pic from the page above:
https://i.guim.co.uk/img/static/sys-images/Guardian/Pix/pictures/2014/8/6/1407315988533/35ec8288-b3d7-427f-978d-fabe11ab2d25-bestSizeAvailable.png?w=620&q=85&auto=format&sharp=10&s=f4d7b43fec9a3e3011a80245792eb646There's a brief but visible break in the top center of the route. It probably auto-paused at a red light then restarted as they were crossing the street.
Now look at Mike's map. If he's doing 6:28, that's about 13 feet a second. Even a 2-3 second pause should be easily noticeable on that scale of map. Since there's no gap, he must have stopped dead to unpause the run.... which would have colored that section red on the map... which it didn't. So whichever way you might try to spin it, it doesn't make sense.
