Good work, Rojo. Out of curiosity, did you get any response from Mike or his lawyer?
I sent the email as I hit publish so it's only been about 10 minutes. So no, not yet.

Nobody screws with the brojos!
I hope the AOL mail server is still in operation.

And somebody should have proofread it to fix the typos and add the missing commas.
In any case - who wants to bet against Rossi being able to run a 21:30 on the track?

I think a lot of us would pay to have SmartRunnr's IP or email address, lol.

Ask the ExpertKipWatcher. Also, I offered to run the 5000 with Rossi, remember? So we can all meet for a fun run.

Then off to the Starbucks in Jenkintown for another Latte.

Touche!
Fair offer, but I don't think he'll accept. He works overtime to portray the image of the successful family man and Boston stud, but somewhere deep down inside he knows exactly what and who is he is (i.e. slow). He's lucky to have sprained his ankle, actually.
At some point, I would think even he has to realize that one guy setting both his marathon and 5k "PR's" under such ridiculous circumstances is just impossible. Same guy drops 30 minutes off his marathon PR to run a 3:11 without ever being photographed on the course, then sets his 5k PR with a 42 second clock/chip differential while passing 650+ people. Remember the odds someone calculated regarding the probability Rossi ran Via in 3:11? The odds that a runner would set these two PR's like this has to be astronomical. I don't know about anyone else, but the stories of my PR's are boring. I warmed up, I toed the start line, I ran, I set a PR.
Just an aside, I'm a total amateur, but I've run 5k's on both road and track, and I find the latter much more difficult.
Take it one step further as I did in my letter to VIA back in early June that based on his VIA time, only running for about two years, putting in about 1,000 miles over 18 months and being 46 years old, he may at the time of his VIA run be one of the best unheard of runners of the last 50 years. Just imagine with the description above by No Shortcuts had Rossi been running all his life he would have world records.....
"640K ought to be enough for anybody."

You mentioned repeatedly having had the pleasure to run with Mike. 'Just one of a group of runners that I sometimes run with', or something along those lines. So for you it will be just another walk in the park, right?

Rojo, great job calling out Rossi for another suspicious performance. I really think he intended to "break 20" before the end of the year so this was a great idea to get out in front of it as you did. I wonder if LVM would have to reconsider their decision if DQ events DQs him from the turkey trot.
+1This whole thing is just absurd

Rojo you dirty dirty dog. He must be panicking right now behind his blocked Twitter account. It was basically his voice and he took it away. I predict he'll unblock within days, this is the longest he's held on ever.Somebody needs to tweet the article to Cecily

Right, and what is the name of this club, and where do you meet? How often? I'm sure someone here will be glad to show up at the next run.

This seems to be this years' course: This guy finished 2 places behind our hero.

Rojo,
I think there is some confusion as to the route for this year's Haddon Turkey Trot. The link I posted a few days ago is the same map you use for your article. The strava link seems to be this year's course?

If Mr. Rossi is going to take us up on the $100,000 challenge, we request one week’s notice and have the right to conduct one pre and one post-race drug test. Any positive test (according to WADA standards) or refusal to take a drug test will invalidate our offer.
A one week's notice is quite fair, but asking him to allow invasive and subjective drug tests by you is petty and a major cop out on your part.

Done! Great article BTW Rojo... I have contacted DQ Events asking for data from them and I have contacted The Running Company of Haddon Township asking them to investigate Mike Rossi's performance in their 5k for cheating.
Is there a rule against attaching a helium balloon to yourself while running a road race?
Am I living in the twilight zone? The Boston Marathon weather was terrible!
How rare is it to run a sub 5 minute mile AND bench press 225?

Red Bull (who sponsors Mondo) calls Mondo the pole vaulting Usain Bolt. Is that a fair comparison?
