Remember he had the shoe malfunction. That is his reason for his taking that long to cross the mat. Funny how that excuse came up only after the official results showed he didn't break 20. If he got away with it the untied laces never happened.

Aaaaaaaand.........he shut down his Twitter account again. LOL
What's that saying about, "If you can't stand the heat..."?
MIKE WINS!!!
A lot of bad luck today, eh Mikey? First the shoe malfunction, causing you to cross the starting line way back in the pack, between all those slow people. Still somehow you manage to plough through the field and finish in 20 and change. Only to be rewarded with a strained ankle after finishing. It's all so unfair.
On a day like today, just look at all your 'Always Earned Never Given' bling. Your great stunt at VIA, the day you just went on and on like a steam engine, resulting in your fabulous PR. And let's not forget Boston: Let's do this, you said. And you did. You completed the holy grail of marathoning, your finest hour.
Good luck with the ankle. RICE that shit man.

I feel like the shoe malfunction needs to be incorporated into the legend that is the Mike Rossi memes.
I also wish someone would repost the link to those memes.
Excellent point. And no one shouting CHEATER at him. No wonder he was so confident this would be an "epic week." Only thing he didn’t count on was his own stupidity. Good work Mike.

I think one factor to take into consideration is why he chose this particular race to try and get under 20 minutes. And the answer is obvious. He grew up here. He probably played in these streets as a kid and knew EXACTLY where he would be able to cut the course without being caught.
Is there any other logical explanation for why a "runner" would drive an hour for a 5K race when there are probably a dozen of them this weekend much closer to home?

This is almost exactly what he did the night before Via. You guys are all gonna be surprised tomorrow. What runner says that before any race, especially a marathon?
Mike I know you've received a lot of good advice on this site so here's a little more. Don't wear flip flops after a slow 5k. Just makes you look like more of an ass.....if that's even possible.
Our patience has been rewarded!
The last couple of months have been tough to follow. I almost lost interest in this whole thing when Fat Fingers was responsible for every other post. I was worried this thing would fizzle out. Thankfully, Mike's shenanigans today adds another layer of entertainment!

Big man says we are all desperate. Last time I checked you were the one who continues to post random derogatory comments, signs up for races under a different name, registers for races and then don't show, immediately posts excuses for poor performances without anyone asking, hangs on to every word on this thread even though supposedly you are above it all, posts pictures of yourself after placing 9th in a dog run, shuts off your Twitter account when things don't go your way... Now that is desperate. The fact that we check in here and discuss your stupidity, that's called free entertainment. Keep winning Mike, that way everyone is a winner.
Was just going to post how long it would take for The Cheater Mike Rossi to say something about trolls or getting a life and damn if The Cheater Mike Rossi didn't disappoint,
None better Mike. NONE! You're a ZERO!!!
And #BOOM The Cheater Mike Rossi's twitter feed goes dark.
We're in there with you Mike, no worries.
Step over to the darker side, fool.
And the Twitter is private... what a 12 year old girl!

Sorry fella's, the Fat Man nailed it.
Of course Rossi still FUp, but that's just Rossi being Rossi. Once again, I'm embarrassed for him and he's even taken taken his Twitter down, how weak it that? Never mind, we can all check out an honest up front Twitter of a real runner and media personality:
"Cecily Tynan â€@CecilyTynan · 1h1 hour ago
Entire family raced #DelawareOpenXCChamps Greg 1st masters;I was 2nd masters wmn; kids ran 1.1mi. & Luke ran 5k, too"
https://twitter.com/CecilyTynanOh, by the way Rossi, Cecily's aware of your latest fiasco and attempt at cheating, Ken tweeted her.
Still to Twitter, Ken. Seriously go away.
Forum mods asked us not to bring his family into this. Mike can stand in his own fecal pile, no need to knock the thread count down again with these comments.
Not that it will make any difference, but there you go. You have some insight and no need to get banned.
It's okay of my comments get deleted. I just wanted to stop in and watch Mike destroy his family's Thanksgiving holiday.
Mission accomplished.
I don't think it could have turned out any better for us "haters". LOL It's pretty funny watching this douchebag fail time and time again. I guess I'll stop back and watch him ruin The Rossi Posse Christmas.
Stillman, out!
It's so predictable. Mike, as usual go cry it out and turn it back on in a day or two when you're butt doesn't hurt as bad

Mike's fiasco today was so over-the-top inept that I'm back to feeling sorry for him.
So, did anyone actually see our friend running on the course today? I have my doubts, you know.
There is one way it could get better...if a Google image search of "rolled ankle" reveals the exact same pic he tweeted. That would be the absolute best.
I wonder if there actually were age group awards three deep, and what the 4th place M45 would think of this if that were the case. That and did anyone in the 21 minute gun time range see a runner with "ankle distress" in the last bit of the race or shortly thereafter....
