I think his most recent tweet and deletion about the 140 miles was primarily in response to the discourse in here because many posters here mention his lack of miles and training. Keep in mind, he posted on his own blog, now blocked, that over the course of 18 months leading up to LVM, he had run 1,000 miles. That does not translate into an average of 140 miles/month. He also has now basically said that he isn't injured now whereas he claimed he was a few weeks ago when he didn't jog in the NYC Marathon. Nothing he says or does can ever or will ever be taken as truthful.
As for his non-running followers, here is my observation. Yes, most, if not all, of his over 1,900 "followers" are non-runners. One could potentially argue he too is a non-runner. But, what is glaringly obvious is that for someone that has that many followers and who tweets and posts the number of pics he does, even using his children as pawns, he gets very very few, if any, comments, retweets, or likes, except for those who are critical of him or have been blocked. He has one or two real people who he knows or follows him, but most everyone else likely just follows him because its like slowing down to watch a car crash. Look at his followers, they are businesses, "d" list celebs, skanks, etc. who know no better and don't know him from the next tweeny wanna be.
