That BAA dude is either really confused, or an imposter.

One thing about the Duckster that still amazes me. How in hell did he survive 47 years before making a complete a-hole out of himself on a national level?
Social media has really only been around the last 10 years or so, I think that helps answer your question.
On a side note, how long would it take Mike to run a 3:11 if he went all in and trained like his life depended on it, hypothetical question. I think less than 2 years with good coaching.

He couldn't. Ever. He might have been able to run a 3:25 someday, but even that would have taken longer than 2 years. His recent blazing 5k indicates he's in 3:52 marathon shape.
His big mistake was that he didn't "run" a 3:22-3:24 at LVM instead of a 3:11. If he had just waited another 10 minutes in the car, he probably could have flown under the radar.

At this point, I don't think it's possible. There is a big dropoff in performance around age 50. So it's unlikely that his body would have enough training response to get him to 3:11 no matter what.

Amateur.
LOL!
HA!
Capitalizing "i" troll is a one trick pony. Loser.
Amusing and it kept the thread going until Rossi makes his next faux pas (that's French for fvck up). Even funnier is that faceless anonymous posters can get so upset at someone using a particular handle (especially as it's the post content that matters) it's not like your whole identity and life and being is getting plastered over the WWW like Rossi's, no prick knows who you are FFS.
Sh!t, I just realized, there's a lower case 'l' in 'unrealSmokingGunner', my world could collapse around me if the capitalizing 'i' troll gets hold of it.

Mike never would have actually run 3:11. It sounds slow and seems like it would be no be deal to whittle down from 3:46 to 3:11 with years of proper training, but for someone like Mike, that would be a near impossible leap. All his other times are so, so far from suggesting a 3:11 that it wouldn't get be about getting his mileage up with a good base.
At this point, the smart money says he'll never break 4 hours again if he ever actually runs another marathon.

I need more coffee, but I'm pretty sure it was in the video or a group of pics from yesterday that showed him and he looked like he was hurting pretty bad at boston. Given that time and his grimace, he's nowhere near a 3:11. And that leg splay....
From what I remember in his non stop Twitter posts about Boston is that he stopped in a medical tent. I believe there are pictures of him running with a warming blanket as well. No matter how cold or rainy I've been I don't think I could run more than 50' with that sheet without completely overheating .

Of course he'll be back. He just wants to be quiet during his yearly break, so that he doesn't get too tempted to rack up the miles too quickly again.
Plus, he may be slightly embarrassed after his 3:23 - who wouldn't be?
Same as this idiotic one got deleted? Get a life.
Mike, if you are reading this can you explain what it feels like to be so universally loathed and disparaged? To be almost 50 years old and to be the constant butt of jokes across the world?
Sorry, I just have a weird fascination with viral internet losers such as yourself. I even still check for occasional updates on the Star Wars Kid.
You don't have to reply here, just tweet a picture from a movie that a 12 year might find intimidating if you are a broken shell of a man.
If you enjoy the notoriety, tweet a picture of yourself on the beach (wearing a hat of course) in which you pretend to be financially successful.
Come on! He is "Still in the game, baby"

You are a liar, bad one FWIW. Everything you post should be deleted, no exceptions.
Not that I think this is even a remote possibility, but what would the response be IF BIG IF Mike admitted to cheating and apologized? What would make anyone think he was sincere? Rossi asking Via and Boston to DQ him while making personal apologies to Via, LR, Cecily, his friends and followers? I think that would be indication enough it was an honest effort and then maybe he could go on to get a charity entry to Boston.
I can't see it happening but this story has been quite strange in many ways already. If by some strange incident, like a spectator finding an incriminating pic of him, he is outed and then comes clean I would not find that sincere.
Yeah, I know, this is nothing much to speculate on since he has just dug his hole deeper each day. I think the notoriety he received as a result of the Madam Principal letter is really the one thing more important than the cheating, those people generally have no idea of the impossibility of his 3:11 and could care less. They will defend him to the end and I don't think he could stand to betray their blind trust. And the brave trolls would be decimated.
Nah.
As I posted before it seems he is still making light about getting another letter from the principal for A cruise he is taking while school is in session . Sincerity we shall not see from this man.
