Anyone else notice that Bart Yasso has blocked Ken Stillman on Twitter?
Ken is making friends all over the web.

Why would a 3:11 marathon finisher dress in all black in hot weather, have his head down feeling dirty inside, have muscle mass and body fat resembling that of a ~3:45+ marathoner, and have both of his hands in a Metallica-like gesture and on top of that not appear in any photos along the course?
Why is Bart Yasso such an idiot about this? You would think someone famous such as Bart Yasso would understand how important it is for integrity in our sport, but apparently Bart Yasso thinks it's OK (along with Barb McKeever) for hobbyjoggers to cheat and the most important thing is for races to take as much hobbyjogger money as possible and if race results are a joke, screw it.
Why does Barb McKeever act like a child in being transparent as far as the process they went through?
That black was one of the first things I noticed too. There is a selfie he took at the finish that shows him smiling acting like he just ran a 5K, and is dressed in all black. There is a lady who finished behind him who finished around 3:18-3:20 or so and she looks like death warmed over. Ironically same lady ran nearly a 3:00 at Boston while Mike... 4:01.
That pretty much tells you how rough the heat humidity was in my mind. If Mike did the performance he claims he should have been on a stretcher. To me that is pretty damning.
Also agree with the outrage at Yasso. He should have known how this would go down not DQing. Bart has done some good work with promoting running, but this whole affair with not DQing... really disappointed in Yasso.
Yasso should have known better about having timing mats for a race that brags about being fast and a good BQ course, esp one so easy to cheat!
On top of that, they claimed it was "a tough track to cheat on." "There's a river on one side and a canal on the other for most of it."
Track? Anyway, I'm sure they never could have guessed someone would plan to drive the entire thing.

Did those people whose donations were edited/rejected because of their messages ever get their money back?
http://i.imgur.com/utx4UPc.jpg?1No, they just aren't showing on Mike's totals.

In two months you have busted two cheaters related to Boston. Make one wonder how many cheat to get in.... and don't get caught.
I think there are some in every race. Who knows if they would have actually signed up or not?
I have reported 5 runners that have resulted in DQ's. 4 were Boston qualifiers. There are 3 where no action has been taken - 2 of them were reported awhile ago - where I need to circle around and put on more pressure. There is another case where someone cheated at multiple races--one of the marathons DQ'd him, the others did not.
The next leg in that relay - leg 318 - is still open for registration. Chance to meet Mike w video gopro on.

I actually just went through all the runners. Richard Perza has also been DQd from 2013 and 2015 RnR Arizona.

Quite some Twitter activity between Cecily and Mike
I think that is why he went to the #HHH hashtag, he probably got a cease and desist order. If I had been her, you bet I would have sent one.

Is this real? Did people actually donate and then he rejected their donations because they called him out about for being a cheater?

No I'm not. I posted like two threads on RW as marathoncheat and got run off--it was really odd. At first the moderator was defending me and banning and deleting the trolls. Next thing I know I was banned there.

There was a thread on the RW Boston Forum that talked about cheaters
once not too long ago. I was really surprised how indifferent people were to the idea of cheating. It was almost like they only cared if it meant that they got bumped out of a registration spot. Sad really.
Sure this site has its trolls and silly threads that are good for a laugh, but it is also the one that caught Kip, and has called out Mike.

It's real, but I believe it was the charity's decision to censor the comments. I can't tell if they truly rejected and refunded the donations.
Yes, the charity took down the comments. The donations were not refunded.

Wow. We'll take your money but not let you talk about it. Classy.

The comments and the amounts were great. Also the meteorologist lady that Mike seems to have a tiff with was the one who asked people not to troll the donations. Pretty sad the person who you called a homewrecker defends you.

The charity sent her a message as well as those of us that donated. When you donate it goes on a scroll on the home page. The charity was panicking..I don't really blame them beyond where they reached out to Mike to run. They probably thought he'd have more supporters after he's been bragging on how much he was raising for charity.
Is there a rule against attaching a helium balloon to yourself while running a road race?
Am I living in the twilight zone? The Boston Marathon weather was terrible!
How rare is it to run a sub 5 minute mile AND bench press 225?
Move over Mark Coogan, Rojo and John Kellogg share their 3 favorite mile workouts
Mark Coogan says that if you could only do 3 workouts as a 1500m runner you should do these
Red Bull (who sponsors Mondo) calls Mondo the pole vaulting Usain Bolt. Is that a fair comparison?
