Gotta love how there is never evidence of anything this guy claims to have done except his horrendous Boston performance. Guess he must have timed himself with a sundial today.
I think you're confused. He ran 5 miles ON route 3405, not IN 34:05.
https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/thumb/f/f0/Texas_FM_3405.svg/2000px-Texas_FM_3405.svg.pngWhat did you expect anyway? That he would use the auto-tweet feature of the Nike Running app to post the log of his run? Don't be ridiculous!
First, I must say you guys are so very impressive. Trolling somebody on the internet, and getting away with it for five minutes before deletion! Wow, just wow.
You are one of the more extreme posters here. First, you insult me, and then, you complain that I NEVER responded to your questions from LAST night. ROFL.
Last try from my side, because I am in a good mood. Your questions were obviously not serious, because:
1) How could I know the answer to this? I am not Mike, so I cannot. And I do not care.
I do know that Mike has a shrewd sense of humor. This time, it actually will pay in the end (likely coincidentally though): $122,000 from rojo.
Moving on, your other question wasn't serious either, because
2) How could I know the answer to this? I wasn't on the committee, so I cannot. And I do not care.
But your "nor do they make any positive attribution toward Rossi" is your own evidently faulty interpretation, because you cannot accept the truth. Others are more reasonable, for example runnersworld concluded:
"After investigation, the race does not find any reason to disqualify Mike Rossi. "
http://www.runnersworld.com/general-interest/via-marathon-no-evidence-marathon-dad-cheatedAnd here is evidence for the thorough investigation from the race committee with help from USATF - but some of you still believe in a conspiracy theory:
"We reviewed every piece of data available to us and searched extensively for additional data like police surveillance video and media coverage," she says, adding that United States Track & Field — the national governing body for the sport — acted in an advisory capacity for the inquiry. "Our goal was to find conclusive evidence from which we could make a decision. In this process, we uncovered no evidence of wrongdoing on Mr. Rossi's part … The investigation is concluded."
http://www.phillymag.com/news/2015/06/01/mike-rossi-boston-marathon-dad/Get it? "we uncovered no evidence", not "we uncovered conclusive evidence", not "we uncovered circumstantial evidence"... but you get annoyed when others don't see any evidence either. You have no case. Over and out.
The Firefighter 5 Foundation website indicates that you can send an email to a runner, so I tried to send an email to Rossi through the website. Rather than sponsor him in order to call him a cheater on the charity's website (which I have no problem with, by the way), I looked at it as a different sort of opportunity. I wanted to motivate Rossi to do the right thing, so I planned to make him an offer. Unfortunately, for some reason, my email to Rossi through the website won't go through. It's giving me a syntax error or something. I thought maybe it was because my email was too long, so I tried breaking it up into smaller pieces, but it still wouldn't go through. Anyway, I assume Rossi is following this thread (Hi Mike!), so I am posting my offer to him below. I know some firefighters, and they are all good guys and gals, so if Rossi takes me up on my offer, I am happy to make the donation to a good cause. Here's my offer to Mike Rossi:
Hi Mike,
Wow, you try to do something nice, like raise money for a charity for firefighters, and people sponsor you just to call you a cheater. Then, the sponsors get deleted and the donations get voided. This isn't pretty. All because of your narcissism and self-aggrandizement.
I guess it was fun to think you got away with cheating until you realized you didn't get away with it, right? Then you thought, I'll just deny everything, hope that the race director (Barb McKeever) doesn't DQ me even though it is obvious that I cheated, and wait until this all blows over. I've got news for you, Mike, this isn't going to blow over, ever. At least, not unless you admit you cheated.
In that vein, I have an offer for you, Mike. If you admit publicly on Twitter and Facebook, and in interviews with Philly Magazine and Lets Run, that you didn't run the full 26.2 miles at the 2014 Via Lehigh Valley Marathon, and if you ask LVM to remove your name from the results of that race, ask BAA to remove your name from the results of the 2015 Boston Marathon, and return your 2015 Boston Marathon medal to the BAA, I will donate $100 to the Firefighter 5 Foundation in your name (or, if you prefer, in the name of Ken Stillman, who, if he doesn't get himself in shape soon, is very likely to need a firefighter or three to haul his dead corpulent carcass out of his ex-wife's mother's basement or wherever the hell he lives these days).
I'm not a #hack, #hater or #homewrecker. I'm just someone who believes that it is better to be honest than to lie and better to compete fairly than to cheat. And, I worry about the effect this situation will have on you in the future. To paraphrase Dean Wormer from a movie you should really become more familiar with, being a little overweight, much too slow to BQ except as a charity runner, an insufferable blowhard, and a globally known marathon cheater and pathological liar is no way to go through life, son.
Anyway, the offer is for real. What do you say?

(Don't worry, I'll pay up. Since I'm registered to post here, Lets Run knows who I am and has my IP address.)

Yeah, it didn't work here either.
You can always try to send him a FB message or an e-mail.
By the way, did they refund the donations?

I've gotten 4 receipts for the $1 I donated. No refund yet. We'll see. It will be worth the $1 just for that screen shot of the 6 comments so I can post it to my Facebook for others it see.
His narcissism is so great he had to reject your generous donations. Covering up the truth > raising money for firefighters
Just a reminder ---
We hate the cheating, not the cheater.
Mike - it's never too late for redemption. And we'll respect the real courage that it will take to come clean.
Why did he cheat to a 3:11 instead of something more modest but still well under the BQ time?
Answer: He was greedy. Not for a better time per se, but greedy in that he wanted to make it to the game before kickoff. He knew he had to run/jog/walk a few miles back to his car, drive home and clean up, corral the family and get to the game. He was desperate for ten extra minutes so he took it.

Does Mike think that tweeting fake training runs is somehow retroactive evidence that he could have possibly run a 3:11 marathon?
Anyone else think that he is planning to cheat in an upcoming race? Most 5Ks have no intra-race timing mats and few spectators. Would be easy enough to cut most courses without even having to get in his car. He'll finish some rink-a-dink 5K in 18:23 (cause he will still suck at cheating and end up with a time that is definitely too fast). He will, of course, have zero evidence that he actually ran the race but will try to claim that the training runs he tweets about are proof that he has sub-20 ability for 5K.
Brojos need to publicly state that Rossi must announce 2 days in advance when he is going for the 5K time as they did on the 100,000 dollar offer.

Speak for yourself
I hate Mike and everything he stands for.
Human garbage.
He will never admit to being a liar and all I hope is that he gets exposed and embarrassed for the rest of his life.
Yup.
It's funny that he is now running training runs faster than any previous races right after 12 weeks off with a serious injury.
Maybe Mike was simply overtraining all this time.

I stand corrected.
Mike, I hate the cheating, but don't hate you.
Don't get me wrong, you appear to be a narcissist and a blowhard and a vindictive little man. But redemption is available.
I went to check out some of his tweets and the duckster blocked me. I haven't even tweeted anything about him.

A lot of wrestling fans are reading his tweets scratching their heads. LOL
As Rossi's biggest shill and butt buddy when it is convenient for your trolling, you are short on answers to facts such as why Rossi repeatedly claiming that he has pictures. You seem to be able to assert many things when its convenient for you but when pressed you are short on facts. Your responses may fool other minions, if there are any left, even as his "friends" have are abandoning and beginning to doubt him.
Here is the Committee's official statement
http://www.kintera.org/htmlcontent.asp?cid=666508which is a bit different, In addition, they also told NBC Philadelphia "Organizers of the Lehigh Valley Health Marathon said they plan to review more than 19,000 photos from along the course to look for Rossi. They are also reaching out to 126 runners who finished the race around the same time as the man"
http://www.nbcphiladelphia.com/news/local/Viral-Boston-Marathon-Running-Dad-Accused-of-Cheating-303010481.html. The problem is so far the runners contacted by some people seeking the truth have said that they were never contacted by the Race Committee. Ever!
It seems the Committee and Rossi (and you) have one common personality characteristic - the propensity to lie.
Happy trails. Please give our regards to Mike.
Dude why are you falling for this 2-bit troll?
