Ken how would you know anything about a legit story?
You pretending to know stuff like when you lied about knowing how IP addresses work?
You lie so much.

The reason this thread has grown to almost 14,000 posts is that mostly runners hate so called runners who cheat in races, i.e., Duckster Rossi, especially when they commit fraud in a BQ marathon to obtain an entry in the most prestigious, respected marathon in the world. I wish I knew someone at the BAA who could question Barb McKeever and Via LVM race committee about why they did not DQ Duckster Rossi based on the ample evidence provided that would lend serious doubts as to whether he ran the entire marathon course in 3:11.
It would be great if the BAA notified Duckster Rossi that he is being delisted from the 2015 BAA Boston Marathon finisher results. Why would a guy be happy running a 4:01 anyway when he supposedly ran 3:11 just 7 months earlier? The BAA should then notify Via LVH that they are no longer on the designated list of BQ marathons.

I don't need vindication. But he didn't deserve to be in the Boston Marathon, so yes, justice will be done. And it will be some small form of satisfaction if he is stripped of his Boston medal that he used as an excuse to cyberbully the school principal.
Because, in case you haven't noticed, he cares more about his medals and his Boston swag than he does reputation or the respect of his family.

I'm fascinated by the story, which is obvious by my posting frequently in this thread. I've told several fellow runners (but not marathoners) about it. None of them had heard the viral marathon dad story nor the subsequent cheating story. They all reacted with basically a polite "that's nice" while their eyes glazed over with a look of "I don't care, why are you telling me this?"
I would totally buy a book on marathon cheaters, the phenomenon fascinates me, but it's of little interest to most people, even runners.
Thread recap (major players):
1. Gatorade& Vodka starts innocuous thread that turns into greatest thread in LRC history (at least by number of posts). Runner Felice also chimed in, with a sordid past and a vendetta against the accused (guilty).
2. SaraB, Doubler, Triathleteguru, GregTr (and probably some others) go all CSI over the 2014 LVM, and prove to anyone with 2 working neurons that MR didn't run 3:11:45 at the 2014 LVM. Also guy body slams dog at same marathon (where is PETA???)
3. Brojos act like they'll write a story, but it never appears.
4. LVM issues a non-DQ statement, saying basically "we know he cheated, but he had an attorney and unless you have video of him at Starbucks while he was supposed to running we're taking the easy way out.". Barb becomes known as incompetent race director #1.
4. LoserMikeRossi - wedding "industry" guy with a past and a vendetta against the accused (guilty).
5. MR appears to at least read, if not troll, the thread.
6. Other trolls run rampant: MikesHair, MikesMom, Smokinggunner, et all. I think JAKIR made an appearance!
7. Brojos finally publish article and issue $$$$$$$ challenges to back up their conclusion that the accused is guilty.
8. Cecily Tynan (meow!) - an awesome weather woman gets drug in via Twitter and basically says MR you can prove your not a cheat easily, if you're not. Why not do that??
9. MR gets an AOL attorney to write LMR a C&D letter. Awesome!
10. LMR gets thread basically killed due to family attacks and potential stalking.
11. GregTr schools LMR in IT.
12. LMR drags ex-mother-in-law in to publish some sort of story. TBD if it really happens.

Ok... good luck with that. Seems like a lot of effort to go to, and like I said, I doubt very much being outed as a cheater will make much difference to his life. It will just end up as a slightly odd & amusing anecdote.
I find the extensive investigating more weird than his actual cheating.
Barb McKeever is an idiot, no question

He's just a hobby jogger who found a way to achieve his goal of running in a hobby jogging festival, albeit probably by dubious means. It's quite an interesting story but it's not really that big of a deal. Proving he cheated isn't going to change anyone's life and he still got his experience to run Boston which was the whole point of it.
Lets use your logic and talk about Lance Armstrong.
Interesting story? Check.
Did his cheating change my life? Nope. Not at all. Still an interesting story.
Does Lance think "I still have my experience winning the Tour de France and that was the whole point!"? I HIGHLY doubt that's anywhere near what he thinks. He has to live his life knowing that every time he has a conversation, he has to think "Are they smiling because they're nice or because they know the truth???" and he has to try to look them in the eye the whole time. Welcome to Mike's world.
BAA doesn't care. Barb McKeever doesn't care. USATF don't give 2 shits. "Hobbyjoggers" are permitted to cheat. That's the way our sport works. Unless you're faster than 2:18 for a male marathoner, nobody gives a shit if you cut the course. Unless you're faster than 2:43 for a female marathoner (or a contender for a top3 finish at the marathon), nobody gives a shit if you cut the course.
Ladies and gentlemen, this is how our sport operates. It's too bad, but it's the way it is.
...and don't forget that he will always be known as both a cheater and liar...https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Marathon_course-cutting

You can't seriously be comparing a hobby jogger cheating so he can run Boston to Lance Armstrong?

No, I'm pointing out how laughable it is when you think "the whole point" hasn't changed. Once the secret was out for Lance, neither he nor anyone else thought "still have that experience!". Ditto for Mike.
You missed the famous Animal House/death threat incident.
and the incidental banning of that poster for quoting Animal House
that may have been the pinnacle of the thread

RIGHT? How could you forget that? Nothing illustrates what an idiot Mike is better than not being able to recognize one of the funniest movie scenes of all time.
THAT'S IT?!!! That is why you've been obsessing about Mike and trashing his family for months?
Have you considered calling it even? Or maybe just letting it go and channeling your energy elsewhere?
You clearly haven't kept up. Go read back and see if you want to ask me that same question.
Ken, really? This is your big plan? While there are so many flaws, you really can't see the very obvious, very serious problem with your plan? What if Barb either refuses to take the call or simply repeats what she has already written "we will not be making any further comments on this matter". Will your mother-in-law really write a story to say 'we sent them all the evidence we had, asked if they reviewed it, and the race director said "no comment"? Why would she write that story? And if she does write that story, what does a reader take away from the story that any person with who isn't brain dead understood from the first non-statement VIA put out? The statement was clear. The marathon will not say he cheated or didn't cheat, all they are going to do is learn from it and try their best to make it so nobody can ever Rossi the course again.
They know he cheated Ken. Everyone know's he cheated. VIA just decided that how they were going to deal with it was to move on and fix a bad course design. Unless you have new evidence that will be too embarrassing for them to ignore, like a video of Barb driving Rossi to the finish line, they are not going to change their position.
Anyway - I'm not telling you to stop, everybody needs a hobby, but if your goal is to get him DQ'd with this plan, that's not going to happen. Now - if you get get Harvey Levin to do a story on this, you might get some traction. You should call him.

Did Ken ever get back to us after stalking the guy he thought was Mike's accomplice because the guy lived only 35 minutes away in the metro area of 6 million people and thus probably knew Mike?
The connection is much stronger than you think. The guy got married, and had a photo booth at a December wedding. Yet, no photos could be found of the wedding online. There is no other explanation to this, other than to surmise that this guy helped Mike cheat.
Okay, let's at least be honest. Ken has not trashed Mike's family. Ken's son and girlfriend were trashed numerous times however.
