Did Mike Rossi (viral marathon dad) cheat his way into Boston?

That sounds familiar. Isn't Mike's philosophy something like "It depends how much of your life you choose to waste running miles constantly"??

If I'm Mikey, I ignore the $100,000 offer and go for the $10,000 sub-20 5k offer. IMHO, that's the safe bet.

It wouldn't be that hard if you really dedicated yourself. 12 months to do it, and the joy of the 5k is you could basically attempt it once a month (or more).

Do it, collect the $10,000, and more importantly declare that this "proves" you ran the 3:11, and that the Brojos owe him an apology.

I think the Brojos really effed up by placing the bar so low on the 5k challenge.

I'd be writing up a proper contract which stipulated random drug testing during the period, getting set up with a PED regime for $100,000 for an otherwise healthy person who's never going to use again would be worth it.

While I agree the Brojos did set the bar pretty low for the 5k I don't think Rossi will go for it. For him to hit the mark, he'll have to do some actual training. With said training will come a big change in appearance. Such a change would indicate that his old physique would not allow for the results he proclaimed.

The VIA Marathon has once again pulled the plug on comments, posts have gone missing, etc. I'd like to think they are getting ready for the DQ but they have shown no evidence of intelligence over this cheating incident. Didn't quite go the way they imagined methinks.Will extend them the benefit of doubt for now. I don't expect much and don't expect to be disappointed.

I asked LR to check the IP addresses of those messages which they did and they banned him. He did not post after that for a while until he figured out how to get around the IP ban. He also misspelled my wife's name the exact same way that very same time in a comment on his now removed Boston YouTube video where we had a good banter going, him trying to bait me into saying something bad and me questioning his run. He asked the same question there about my wife using his real name as he asked here. It was him, no doubt in my mind.

Like I wrote before, Mike Rossi did some pretty weak and hasty google research and tried to lash out at me, like he did to everyone else who called him out with their real name attached to it. Had he kept up the doxxing it would have had more serious consequences than a simple IP ban. Remember, I'm the guy who will take an RD to court for no water on the course.

But otherwise I have no evidence, as you would say, it's all circumstantial, you know, like the evidence that got Aaron Hernandez convicted.

I'm more interested in what he would say to his believers, if anyone does believe him. They think he did this once on a hot day and looked pretty damn fresh at the end of it - how does he not go out and get that $100k. How does he explain not just going out and repeating? And what about his wife? If my wife knew I could earn an extra $100k by running the same marathon time I ran last year (in the heat) - she'd would be all over me to just go out and run a race in the next few months and get that money coming in.

And, his wife knows how much he ran before - how is he going to explain to her why he needs to do 3 times as much running to match a time he already ran on so few miles? The only way Mike can train to try to get this $100k will be an admission that he cheated.

Bullshit. Random anonymous crazy people on the internet are offering $100k for Mike to repeat his performance and $10k for what should be a stroll in the park. Regardless of the source or the motive, don't even pretend that they're just going to ignore that unless they know he cheated.
