What I really don't get is how are new people finding this thread?
This Saturday a friend told me the story during our long run. Well, mostly the punch line, 47 year old wedding DJ. That was gold, but I thought he was maybe lying. Here I am.
But, I'm not reading all of this. I'm not sure how anyone can be surprised he'd be narcissistic/cheater - have you seen his photo? The guy is fully tragic. He did up a plaque showing he ran a 4:01 marathon? He's not playing with a full deck. That's over half an hour slower than he would have needed to qualify and almost an hour slower than his claimed PB? Yet he brags about a 4;01? Overcompensating for something - I'd guess at least two things, one of which is knowing he cheated to be there. Like I said, a tragic small man. So small.
Crazy he didn't get DQ'd, but I'm not sure I'd spend much time worrying about what will happen to him - looks like he has to spend the rest of his life being himself, what can any of you do to him worse than that? The guy looks to Charlie Sheen's break down as a success story. I guess for some people that is up. Charlie Sheen at his worst is a huge step up from Rossi at his best. Makes sense. Again, a tragic little man.
I do applaud the people who put in a lot of work - that video for the pictures must have taken ages. No getting away from the lack of photos, he for sure didn't run. But, I wouldn't spend too much time worrying about this guy, he's not worth the effort. This thread does seem to take up a lot of his time though, so probably worthwhile coming back periodically to remind him that he cheated. Let him get all f'd up Charlie Sheen on everyone. Good for a laugh.
