MR looks pretty sweaty in this picture. Is that a fanny pack he is wearing and who took this picture and the picture at the start? He did not have his phone at the end of the race but did at the start. Has he ever said who was with him..

The sponsors ARE indirectly at fault to some extent. Money talks. If the sponsors took their money to some other, more worthy, event, the marathon would be forced to change its policies regarding obvious cheating.
Individuals can also choose to boycott the race in order to express their opinion, but I think that the best course of action is to target the main sponsors.
They pay money to get their name on a banner and the t-shirt.
It'd like budweiser telling the NFL do reverse the Brady suspension.
All they can do is pull sponsorship from now on, not retroactively.
So no, they are not in any way responsible for this specific cheating incident.

I don't even run and I might sign up. Wanna car pool?

...isn't this an indictment of our entire American society? Well, you can do whatever you want to us, but we're not going to sit here and listen to you badmouth the United States of America.
Headphones in selfie - gone at finish line.

Funny how he's completely sweaty except for his shoulders and the sides of his pants. I guess his shoulders down't sweat.
No wait.....Maybe he just poured some water over the front of himself so that it LOOKS like he sweated.
Hmmmm, then again my 90 year old grandma looked like this every morning , but I'm pretty sure she didn't run a marathon.

Don't forget to que up the song from Animal House, made for Mike Rossi, hit it Ken:
Don't know much about running
Don't know much about speed work
Don't know much about a training book
Don't know much about the pictures they took
But I do know that I love myself
And I know that if you love me, too
What a wonderful world this would be
Don't know much about being honest
Don't know much about being modest
Don't know much about a BQ
Don't know what a DQ is for
But I do know one and one is two
And if this one could be with you
What a wonderful world this would be
Now, I don't claim to be an A hole
But I'm trying to be
For maybe by being an A hole, baby
I can win your love for me
Don't know much about being honest
Don't know much about being modest
Don't know much about a training book
Don't know much about the pictures they took
But I do know that I love myself
And I know that if you love me, too
What a wonderful world this would be
La ta ta ta ta ta ta (honest)
Hmm-mm-mm (modest)
La ta ta ta ta ta ta (training book)
Hmm-mm-mm (pictures they took)
Yeah, but I do know that I love myself
And I know that if you love me, too
What a wonderful world this would be

Ken now you have to be careful about posting with respect to the actual running aspect of this saga. You are not a runner. And last I checked, it is actually healthy to run if you had a heart attack 10 years ago.
Please don't debate me on this. Just stick to the cheating itself.
Now, from my perspective, Mike looks like somebody who can't break 20:00 if they ran about 3 or 4 miles (which is probably the max he could have run without being photographed).
He is a slow hobby jogger who faked being a fast hobby jogger. He would break a sweat just taking selfies.
At least this Ken dude is honest. Gotta love him for that
how much does mike rossi look like kip litton crossing the finish line?
I mean, it is almost an exact match.
I respect Kip more though because he was creative and went for sub 3 despite being just as stocky and fat as mike rossi.
boycott? SERIOUSLY???? you ever hear of police brutality? Domestic violence? HIV? Cancer? homeless starving kids?
But you think your energy is well spent calling for a boycott and rallying sponsors because of no DQ for a loser douchebag? And you call for firing of an RD that in spite of you people believe doesn't make much money for a relatively small marathon that benefits a good charity? Spamming the VIA FB page, and USATF, BAA, and sponsor pages just makes you all look like the douchebags.
Seriously, go invest your time in a worthy cause where you might make a real difference. Cuz this is all meaningless in the grand scheme of real sh!t.
how you gonna boycott cancer stupid?
gawd you are stupid.

It's been fun, but there is just too much negative energy here and too many new a$$holes who post bullshlt and lots of great people who used to post all the time who have left or gone underground. I'm out. Life is too short. I'll be in kona. Hope to see some of you there. Paulo knows how to find me.
The Kona Kai bar at The Marriott?
I'll look out for you.
Sure, there are lots of more important things to worry about but you know, it's never going to be a perfect world with cheaters like Mike Rossi wrecking it. If you can get this one asshat DQed from a race just how soon are you going to cure cancer? Get off the thread and get to work genius.

They all have the mostly black outfit and the head down feeling all dirty inside look.
Kip was a much better runner than Mike but both are cheats

We said the same thing about George Washington.
Go bother somebody else. You are wasting your time.
Ooops.
