Why can't cheating in marathons be a criminal offense?
Do you think that mike Rossi had his head down at VIA when crossing the finish line because he knew he didn't run the whole thing?
I'm sure if hypothetically the FBI investigated Rossi's performance, they could perhaps find surveillance cameras at businesses along the VIA marathon route and they'd go through those and figure this whole thing out

I agree that it is a long shot. But as the great Gretsky once said, you miss 100% of the shots you don't take. More importantly, there are power in #s and consumer pressure. The more people who take a few to send an email expressing their concern, displeasure, etc, even to a sponsor or so, goes a long way. It does not hurt to try, and it does not cost anything. If one has time to post and analyze here, one has time to send an email,
Oh my gawd just GIVE IT UP!
The man was talking about winning hockey games . . . you are talking about getting some pathetic man DQ'ed from a race so he can't get into a race that he already ran. Y'all lost to MR and just can't accept it.
It's over. The horse looks like a pink puddle now.

Hi Mike.
How did the wedding go tonight? Did you play Gangnam Style? Everybody loves that song.
Does anybody have a link to the spread sheet that was created?
And yet here you are....

I think it was because he realized he'd miscalculated his reentry and knew a 3:11 was way too fast. That's also why he refrained from his usual post-race bragging.
So this took a lot of sleuthing, but I have identified photos 14 of the 15 missing runners on the bridge mentioned in concernedDQers post: this
means that 199 of the top 200 finishers were photographed on the bridge
at around mile 6:
Bib # Finish Photo#
1581 2:55:47 1041
1967 3:02:48 1117
1908 3:03:56 1183
1442 3:04:37 1161
1603 3:10:54 1287
2161 3:11:45
2515 3:13:30 1162
1139 3:16:34 1134
2087 3:17:41 1297
1450 3:21:12 1480
2130 3:22:10 1442
2083 3:23:09 1283
1927 3:24:03 1440

Mr. Rossi will be along shortly to tell you that you are crazy and that you should get a life.

It means every single runner in the top 200 but Mike Rossi!

Yes, because only MR could think you're a an obsessed jackwad.
Weren't there a couple of other RD's that were posting in this thread? We need an article that cites a handful of RD's who explain why they would disqualify MR. Let Doubler post it on his site with a title like "Panel of Race Directors explain how Lehigh Valley Runner could not have completed the LHVM" and link that to LVM's facebook page.
That seems like the kind of thing that would shake them up a little. We need to crowdfund Doubler to buy his domain name though. MarathonCheat.com sounds more credible than MarathonCheat.blogspot.com.
OMG... that statement can be applied to many of life's situations. Stop being such a defeatist. Obviously you are not a runner or an athlete. I strongly suggest that you get off the couch and out of the basement and put down the koolaid.

Great work! Who was it who made the gif? I'm picturing that gif updated with this new info so in the end you have every single one of the top 200 racer numbers highlighted except for Mike Rossi, then the end would be a photo of Mike Rossi from the finish with his bib number and then the text, Mike Rossi never passed this point on the bridge. Then if this were made into a video instead of a gif, and posted online...
Can you update it with this info:
Bib # Finish Photo#
1581 2:55:47 1041
1967 3:02:48 1117
1908 3:03:56 1183
1442 3:04:37 1161
1603 3:10:54 1287
2161 3:11:45
2515 3:13:30 1162
1139 3:16:34 1134
2087 3:17:41 1297
1450 3:21:12 1480
2130 3:22:10 1442
2083 3:23:09 1283
1927 3:24:03 1440
1721 3:24:23 1466
and then maybe convert it to a video and post it on youtube or Facebook so that it can be shared/viewed much easier? I would end it as soon as every number is highlighted other than Mike Rossi's, and then flash up a picture of him at the finish with letters flashing saying - Mike Rossi never passed this point!!!
I've reached out to "The New Yorker" and recommended Mark Singer write an article about Mike Rossi's cheating...

When they refuse or do not reply because your story has no merit are you going to bomb their op-ed and Facebook page and tell everyone how stupid the editor is?
