My dad is a fine respectable father. He told me he didn't cheat and I believe him. He is a great father, a fantastic dj, and an accomplished competitive age-group runner. Please cut him some slack.

The question on the marathon\'s Facebook page about whether the race is still a Boston qualifier remains unanswered. That is unthinkable if their status is still completely safe. That post should go unanswered for no more than a few hours and in the current climate it should have been answered in minutes.
I am more convinced that the marathon is in trouble and there could discussions going on with Boston behind the scenes.
You misunderstand me. I will be filming everyone who has been involved and hasn't come forward.
The question remains unanswered because it is a stupid question. Go to their website. There are 3-4 mentions of being a Boston qualifier there. It's not hard to figure out for yourself.

I'm not so sure it is a stupid question at this point. And even if it is, it should be answered. If someone posts the same question on another marathon's page, I bet they would get a response very quickly saying, "Yes, we are proud to be and have been since #### and we have x percent hit qualifying marks," or some such response. It is a free chance to tout your marathon.
That question should never be met with the sound of crickets chirping.
Don't forget he gets you out of school to teach you valuable life lessons. Did you make it to school on Sep 8 and 9, 2014?
For each of you on this thread questioning the honesty of the honorable M. Rossi I want you to take a long, hard look in the mirror. While looking in this mirror I want you to reflect upon your life and ask yourself if you have ALWAYS been completely honest in your words, emotions and actions. I challenge any of you holier than thou posters to step forward claiming to ALWAYS be operating truthfully and honestly. Show me the man that has never exceeded the speed limit, the man that has never called in sick when healthy, the man that has told his wife she looks good in her new clothes when she looks like a beached whale, etc. We have all chosen at times to exaggerate or misrepresent the truth. What Mr. Rossi did regarding the marathon was a mistake but who hasn't made a mistake. I believe Mr. Rossi has atoned for this act of dishonesty through making the experience a teaching opportunity for his children, and for the leadership qualities he continues to exhibit. Mr Rossi is, by most accounts of those acquainted with him, a fine upstanding gentleman that has done nothing to elicit the scorn of this message board.
Peace, out.

Wow...just wow.

How many weddings do you think you need to DJ to be able to afford to sue everyone on the internet?
Are there any mathematicians here (I know there are like 100 lawyers)? Or do we need to hack into the Whopper at NORAD to figure that one out?
(bonus - name that 80s movie - clue, not Animal House)

That message was brought to you by the friends of Mike Rossi and those who are drinking the koolaid.
I am Mike Rossi, and I approve that message.
If Mike Rossi and his one or two buddies would stop posting their total nonsense on here trying to get people to stop posting about him being a cheat, the thread would probably die.
Cheaters cause moral outrage. This keeps people engaged and makes them want retribution, even where it does not affect them personally. Every time Mike Rossi or his friend posts on here trying to defend him in the several different weak arguments that are logically flawed or emotionally bullying - like this one - it just re-offends people's sense of outrage. Trying to make people believe he didn't cheat or he is a good guy or they are being just like him - all of that is just offensive and re-ignites peoples sense of outrage and keeps them posting. I know there are a few trolls doing that on purpose - but for the few who think you can make any sane person think Mike Rossi didn't cheat, you are just making it worse. Everyone knows he did and this weak crap makes it worse. Defending his cheating, or trying to convince people he didn't cheat is almost more offensive than his cheating.
So, if you want the thread to stop - you'd go a lot further in achieving that goal if you stopped re-offending people with this crap. Nobody will buy into it, you are just adding fuel to the fire.
Seriously, who cares about the cheating hobby jogger? If this is what it takes to make him feel important isn't that just a compliment to the rest of us? He goes to great lengths to cheat just so he can be a member of our club. He is really just a sad little man that is ashamed of who he really is and has to live a lie. All he has earned through his deception is the pity of the running community.
True. The whole thing would probably just fall off everyone's radar if MR stopped posting. For better or worse that's just the way it is.

I, my friend, am no friend of Mike Rossi. I am merely a supporter of those unjustly punished and ridiculed by the heartless masses.
This has been posted at least 500 times. Thank you for your contribution
He is the only one who can be caught. That doesn't change the fact that you participated in stalking.
Looks like Rossi got to triathleteguru and doubler. They haven't posted in a while.

I think triathleteguru realized he was a bigger tool than 5 Mike Rossi's
The posts from the two Canadians just proves that cheating is a bigger deal that anybody thought. Mike doesn't think cheating is a big deal. He's probably cheated at many other things in his life as well.
The one thing we know is that everybody hates a cheater. Including couples planning a wedding. Think about that. If he is willing to cheat at something where the only person who loses is himself, what would stop him from cheating a client out of money?
Some of the reviews on Wedding Wire for East Coast Event Group say that the photography services were absolutely horrible. And their site shows no staff photographers, which means they probably subcontract a bunch of hacks or college students.
