Just as there is no evidence to suggest that Mike Rossi ran the 26.2 miles of the Lehigh Valley Health Network Via Marathon, there is no evidence to suggest that Mike Rossi ever used any races as "workouts", "easy runs", or anything other than the actual races that they were.
And just as there is plenty of evidence to suggest that Mike Rossi did not run the race course at the Lehigh Valley Health Network Via Marathon, there is evidence in the form of his own words to suggest his other races were definitely "races" and honest efforts which serve as a reflection for his fitness level.
Thus, given his times at other races both before and after Lehigh, it's pretty obvious that he was never, ever capable of running a marathon time in the 3:11 ball park.
To do so, he would have had to:
Run two substantial half marathon PRs, back-to-back
Run 4 10K PRs, back-to-back-to-back-to-back. And then run another 2K of course.
Do this on a warm day which was not conducive to fast times.
Do so without having been captured in any of multiple photo check points during the race. Somehow not appearing in the background of anyone else's photo and not appearing in any photo in the "Lost and Found" bin for photos of runners with obscured bib #s.
Then, totally out of character, he would barely mention this apparent "RACE OF A LIFETIME" which qualified him for the Boston Marathon - a "lifetime goal" of his.
Also, it just so happens that he has no GPS data of this particular marathon, though we do know he has worn a GPS watch and posted data from other
runs/races.
Additionally, he cannot provide any record from his phone to show that he traveled the race course distance on the day and time of the race though we do know he took a selfie at the starting line so chances are that he had his phone with him at that point at least.
Furthermore, there have been zero witnesses to say they saw Mike on the course at any time. Did his family not travel with him to the race? Couldn't they have learned more at that marathon than in an entire year of school as well? Did Mike travel solo to this race? How did he work the logistics of the point-to-point nature of the course? No selfies in the race shuttle? I wonder why.
The biggest question is why does Mike continue to try to maintain that he ran the race? It is really, really embarrassing that he would continue this charade. Probably more embarrassing than the actual cheating at this point. He will never fess up, he's too weak for that.
