the guy is a cheater, I can't believe no one near his fake time has come forward to say they never saw him during the race

I can't believe he hasn't been DQed yet. What are they waiting for - photographic evidence of him not running the race?! Oh wait.....

According to Mike Rossi that's exactly what they need. By his logic they cannot DQ him unless THEY prove he didn't run the race. So I guess the organizers will have to set up thousands of security cameras along the race course to catch anybody as they leave the course.
Mike, we know you are reading this. Do you have any idea of how crazy that sounds? The RD doesn't ned to prove anything. They have cameras already in place for that and YOU AREN'T ON ANY ON THEM. So now the burden of proof is on you, buddy. Post your GPS data or admit that you cheated.
Until you do how can you even look your wife and children in the face? Your wife must be wondering what else you are lying about. She's probably crying at home each weekend wondering if you are hooking up with a hot bridesmaid.

Yes he is a cheater.
But to think that anyone would step up to say that they never saw him is naive. Most people don't notice anybody else in the race (aside from folks they know and/or hot women who are running right in front of them). These runners most likely could not say one way or another if Mike passed them or got passed by them somewhere along the way.

FMD mate, I've read some of your other posts but in this one you've really let your imagination run riot.

Back in the thread someone did, it was a fella who dropped out at 20(?) miles, I can't be bothered going back to look and see who it was.
Also, cognitively it's easier to see someone than not see them.

I dunno. I am not seeing you right now. Seems easy enough.
Not sure about you but this looks a lot like Rossi at the Phillies game!

Must be undercover, the shirt isn't right. Does he have siblings?

This is true, very hard to prove a negative compared to proving a positive. The (lack of) photo evidence switched the onus to MR to prove he ran the whole marathon. I think the (lack of) photo evidence is as close to proving a negative as you'll find.
Good thing this is a race and not a trial, because I don't know what he was doing (but it seems to me it was doing anything but running a marathon). I hope MR isn't trying to use this race as an alibi for some grand crime... he's got about 3:10 unaccounted for, unless he coughs up a GPS log that makes sense (compared to the photographs).

Too bad it's not a trial because then we'd be able to subpoena the security cameras at the hospital. We'd be able to check his phone records. He probably stopped and got a bite to eat and his credit card records would show that.
And you are right, he is probably using the race as his alibi for cheating on his wife. He went to a Motel 6 and banged some hooker off BackPages and is telling his wife there is no way he was getting a BJ - he was too busying getting a BQ.

HE PEAKED AT LEHIGH!!!
What part of that did you not understand? He trained SOOOOO hard for that one race. And now that he has a completed the life-long goal (that he started training for in 2013) of running the Boston Marathon he can just cruise for the rest of his career. He was "the champ" and ain't nobody can take that away from him.
He is going to retire while he's on top. Maybe next year he'll run a charity race against Mitt Romney.
This is pretty depressing... I was on such a high the first week the story broke with so many exciting daily updates on this thread. I'm sure MR has put the hole thing behind him and has moved on. That DQ will probably happen but I guarantee it's not going to hit the news. It's been marinading for too long folks. Who is going to want to report his DQ after they all aired the principal letter story? It's embarrassing to do a 180 and won't be worth it for them. I still hope there is some excitement from possible FB backlash though. He's going to deny or avoid, so I'm not expecting any more thrilling moments. I'll be following closely, but it hurts to refresh the page and not see anything fresh.

Agreed. Because this is such an embarrassment to both the runner and the race they are both trying to make it quietly go away. It appears they have succeeded.
I thought the Mike Rossi Challenge would have kept it fresh on people's minds. But in the end I guess the question is - how much time are we willing to lose over this jackass who cheated at a race?
Is this REALLY an embarrassment to the race? One guy out of how many cheated? Kip cheated races when there were plenty of timing mats...are those races an embarrassment? If a store doesn't have the security in place to keep someone from stealing a candy bar should the store be embarrassed or should the store spend whatever it takes to make sure not even a candy bar can be stolen? That candy bar would end up costing 9 bucks. Hell, I might run Via for the sole reason they didn't fold to the pressure of this message board and DQ MR.

Haha, the photos from this one are worth a look, love how he was able during the race to sniff out the camera above the pedestrian crossing and look straight in to the lens and put the arms up classic hero narcissist style, but he couldn't sniff out any between start and finish at Lehigh.
"injured?' - doesn't look like it, 10 miles injured at that pace one week after a marathon is a big ask.
Also, wasn't there conjecture he cheated this one too.
There is a picture of MR in Boston and another one of MR in Philly. Who is to say he did not run from one to the other? MR logic tells me we need a picture of him in a car, bus, train or plane. There is more proof that he did not run the course of the marathon than proof he didn't run from Boston to Philly. At least there are pictures of him not on the course. We know he didn't do either.
Mike has a smug smile on his face right now, this is a virtually dead thread, he's making you lot look like idiots.
