Inconvenient Truth wrote: He even tried to get a much more accomplished runner and athlete, as well as a well-known, on air TV meteorologist to back up his assertion that its common not to be in any photos. that backfired as she shot down his wishful thinking leading to his personal attacks on her and her family and threats to her.
I thought it was a great article. They couldn't put everything in the story and didn't even mention the Ken adventures, but I'm glad they did mention Cecily. She was the only one who exchanged messages with him immediately after the Via marathon and they were apparently friendly with each other. He turned on her so quickly and got nasty fast. The article did describe his #homewrecker and #ho attacks on her and how he questioned who was her kids' father. I thought one of the worst things he did was call out her 8 year old son by name and ask who is father is.
It is crazy that this thread is still going after all if this time. Rossi sure became famous, just not the way he had hoped.
"Not long ago, a group of guys rolled in late on a Friday night, the night Rossi is a straight DJ there, playing music. One of them had a question for him, about the Boston Marathon.
Boom! Things quickly got ugly.
Before the cops got there, Rossi had rolled around on the floor with a couple different guys. He ended up with a torn shirt and a bit of a shiner beneath one eye."
Anyone with more information about this incident? Must have been some LRC regulars?
Guess they are feeling the Wrath of Rossi.

As I understand it these personality disorders are often intertwined, but I think psychopath fits Mike more closely along with narcissism. We are seeing his elevate over time.

Also sort of bummed they left out the bit about the questionable Turkey Trot.
The Turkey Trot episode would need a whole new article.

And, then Mike shows up. This line of attack never worked, Mike. You tried it enough times already, you should know this.
Do what you should have done a long time ago, be a man, apologise for cheating, and let all of this go. Look at your life, Mike? Where has your denial and your attacks on others gotten you? I get that you felt like you would lose more by admitting you cheated, but surely you can see now that it's only gotten worse and worse. Stop letting this lie hurt you. It's not like you will suffer any damage admitting the truth, everyone knows the truth anyway. The damage has been done. It's now just the ongoing lie that is harming you. Holding on to a lie that nobody else believes only harms you and will only keep harming you. Let go of it.

Hi Cheater Mike Rossi!
More to come? You betcha!
Mike got this advice long, long ago. He put up his fists instead.

Interestingly enough, Jon Ronson, the author quoted in the article for writing "So You've Been Publicly Shamed" also had a bestseller with "The Psychopath Test"

Very interesting indeed. Mike's propensity for violence is disturbing and I think it will get worse since he has shown no propensity for getting better. Everyone knows he cheated, Mike knows he cheated, but he cannot stomach coming to terms with the truth.

Someone is owed a refund on his [Court Mandated] Anger Management class, since it clearly didn't stick
It does seem as if Mike has reached the point of no return. He has doubled down on the lie and then doubled down again. He probably feels he can't tell the truth at this point. Ironically, everyone knows the truth and everyone knows Mike is lying. To truly hit rock bottom, there needs to be something major in Mike's life that forces him to accept the fact that he is a liar. Fights, arrests, worry of family -- none of that has impacted his willingness to tell the truth. Sad
So Mike, was is really worth it?

We all know what that something major is.
Cindy, just pull the trigger. You deserve better.

Yes, just like an alcoholic or druggie. When some hit zero they start the long climb out, others fall into the abyss. I will be shocked if Mike chooses the former, the latter is likely his destiny. He probably finds this humorous in his twisted mind.

Yes, I know. Many times. But in the beginning etc. he may not have realised the self harm he was causing to himself by holding onto the lie. Now? Surely should be painfully obvious to anyone that all it's done, and continues to do, is keep open a channel of ongoing public humiliation that he could close and move on from.
But, I take your point. First instinct is to offer good advice, but given how long it's been and all that's gone on, I guess he has opted to stick to the lie until the very end. It's just a sad choice.
