Yeah I thought the same too, but at the same time her story actually could be relatable to some people. But Derek when interviewed said that he did his story on her because of using her friend's time. Had she actually said that in her first apology I got the impression Derek would have just skipped her.
I understand where Rachel the female podcaster was saying that it is just a race etc etc. But some folks train for a year, travel and spend a ton of $ to run a race in the hopes of qualifying. So while cheaters like Mike and Gus never see who they push out because of their sense of entitlement, doesn't mean those victims aren't out there. Really this kind of cheating stuff is just like using banned substances IMHO.
