LOL at Mike!
Mike Rossi was unjustly arrested for trespassing in a parking lot because he was sticking up for himself, yes that happens all the time. Happens to all manner of good and moral people. Like Mike.
Many haters in your line of work, you say Mike? What line of work are you referring to? Another rival wedding DJ got it out for you? You can't be talking about the radio station, they claim you are not an employee and real DJs have been laughing at you on air.
Why must the universe constantly conspire again you, Mike? Great men always attract the coward detractors, sure, but fate and chance themselves continue to throw statistical improbability upon statistical improbability at you.
I mean really, you are just the unluckiest SOB of all time. First you run an unbelievably fast (for you) marathon time but have no GPS data to prove it and ALL 6 of the intermediate photo locations on the course missed you. Bummer! The only guy in the race without a pic prior to the finish line. So unlucky, so unfair!
And now, you have been unjustly arrested, set up by a jealous colleague as you claim. You are a modern day Nelson Mandela! You could have bit your lip, put tail between your legs and shuffled out of that parking lot to avoid the legal repercussions. But no! Mike Rossi is going to stand up for himself. Whether it be defending your own honor on the LetsRun forum under a series of aliases, or Standing Your Ground in that parking lot, Mike Rossi will never admit defeat, no matter the case against him.
You think Mike Rossi is going to leave a parking lot when asked by event staff and the Philadelphia Police Department? Then you don't know a damn thing about Mike Rossi. Did he have the legal right to continue standing there? No, of course not. That's what made it Civil Disobedience. That's what made it so brave! Sometimes a man just has to make a stand outside the law.
A man, a real man anyway, has to say, "Damn the consequences, I am going to continue standing here, sipping my beer and priming for the Kenny F-ing Chesney concert."
"There are two Kennys in my life and I would break the law for either. One, to punch Kenny Stillman in the face. Two, to tailgate for Kenny Chesney in this here parking lot. I AM MIKE ROSSI. I may deny it one day to Philly Mag, but not today officer, not on the day that Chesney is in Philly. I'm still in the tailgate, baby, and you better believe I'm STILL IN THE GAME too."
You can arrest Mike Rossi. You can humiliate him in local print and radio media. Make him go to Anger Management therapy for all he cares. You can even offer him $200,000. But you can't stop the man from sticking up for himself, oh no!
The police are against him. Everyone in his field of work is against him. The media is against him. Society is against him. Logic and the Truth are against him. And you know what? The man does not care!
He has no need for the police, work rivals or local magazines. Mike Rossi does not need society or logic. Mike Rossi DOES NOT NEED THE TRUTH.
Because if Mike Rossi says it, it is the Truth!
He is Rossi.
(again, unless you ask him point blank, in which case he may pretend otherwise)
