It would be crazy, but it isn't the case. "IP ADDRESS" is playing with you.He was pretending not to know the IP address of the poster of many names when he asked "Does anyone have the IP's from the fake accounts?".He then pasted in a doctored email header, replacing the IP address of a Google mail server with said IP address, claiming it came from an email from Mike.

Either way, this is too complicated for this guy to come up with. Remember, he wasn't thinking this was all going to blow up publicly. Until this week, Mike had no idea there are people out there that actually care about integrity. Welcome to the pit Mike and stay tuned.
blast-- fooled :D Ultimately i'm glad it wasn't M.R.

Funny you mention the half marathon start possibility. Here is a site that has hundreds of photos from the event. In picture # 5 there is a man with his back turned over the shoulder of a girl in a yellow top stretching her quads. All but the shoes are a match. The watch, fanny pack, shirt , shorts and hat. It got shot down in an earlier part of the thread but I still think it could be him. Check it out here.

Btw he's not in any of the other of hundreds of unofficial race pics either!
Thank you bailiff lol :D

Shouldn't we be looking into the people who started +/- from where he was? And by we I mean someone else.
I've looked at every top ten runner from 18-54. He's not in any course photos.
I'm up to page 9 of looking through every marathon finisher. Thus far he's not in any course photos.
From the Via marathon twitter page:
https://twitter.com/ViaLehighValley/status/593763936769593344
"Want to qualify for #BostonMarathon? Run #LVHNVia Marathon, 1 of fastest marathons in US; price increase 5/7 .
"
That was tweeted on April 30th, before this whole mess exploded, but I still find it hilarious.

One of the listed runners, number 2525 started at the exact same time as Rossi - 7:10:31 AM - and finished 1:45 after him. Another runner on the list, number, 2531, started 2 seconds after Rossi and finished 4 seconds ahead of him.
But otherwise, the start was so crowded that start time is not useful. Runners 1234 and 1134 started the exact same time as Rossi, but ran 3:51. Runner 1884 started the exact same time as him and ran a 3:29.

Before that, it's just the leaders. Even when there was almost no one to photograph, he was taking a photo every 2 or 3 seconds.
Okay, I found one more place in the photo stream where all the runners who finished within 10 places of Rossi appear. It is an uncrowded path and the runners are fairly broken up. The timestamps run between 9:51 AM and 9:57 AM. So this is 2:45 into the race and just 26 minutes before Rossi supposedly finished. All of the runners who placed between 104 and 124 can be seen clearly, except Rossi. All less than a half hour before the finish. I've always been convinced but I found that one pretty damning. I added a tab with all of the photos from the three checkpoints for those 20 runners to the table. It is entitled "Checkpoints for places 104-124"

I like TLC's "Creep", or maybe since Rossi is a country guy:
Conway Twitty, "It's Only Make Believe"
"Your Cheating Heart" Hank Williams

Whats sad about all this is the REAL chance Mike had to teach his kids something you won't learn in school. Before this thread, it was clear from his social media and the Viral letter that the only thing Mike was teaching his kids was how to be a self-promoting egomaniac.
Then, before the evidence was so clear, Mike had a chance to teach his kids a true lesson: Humility. He could have shown them that we all make mistakes, but it takes a big person to fess up . . . and not just when the walls are closing in. Mike could have shown them and the world that he truly does have his kids best interest at heart and is willing to teach them lessons, even when it comes as a blow to his own ego.
He missed the chance though. Even if he confesses, it will come after many lies and denials and only after it was clear no one was buying it. If he confesses it will because he is only thinking about himself once again and what would be best for HIM.
Bummer Mike, bummer.
Some stuff on Rossi's Facebook page is still viewable.
I found a good post from 2013:
"Teach children how to win and lose, because they will experience both in life."
Or, just teach them how to cheat and, once caught, how to lie about it. Dad of the Year.
Also, I love that people who bemoan the T-ball participation award for 4 year olds always have a shrine to their marathon finisher medals in their home.

Received: from mail-vn0-f46.google.com (mail-vn0-f46.google.com. [98.235.239.44])
I had to do my real job for a while. The header is doctored. I wasn't looking and thinking at the time.
mail-vn0-f46.google.com. will not resolve to a comcastic address.
Looking at it now I feel like a dope, but, that's about average.
Fortunately, the far sketchier other claim from the same screen name died.
I also was about to point out that "IP Address" could have simply copy and pasted. Please post a screen shot if this is legit. He may be lying, but he also may be right.
I have to go, but it would be interesting to scan the results and see if anyone matching the Pennsylvania city of the IP Address was ahead of Mike. Sub3HourMarathoner said that Mike ran with them but slowed down at the end, so it had to have been someone who didn't finish that far ahead of Mike. If no one is in the results, then whether or not it was Mike or a friend who posted that, they are flat out lying and that comes with a lot of suspicion.
