Why did you all allow yourself to get trolled about this potential meeting. It's not happening. Mike wins. He is, in fact, still in the game.

Hello everyone, I've taken a 10 page/ 200 post - break from this thread .Too busy getting rid of the snow I guess. Did I miss anything of note?
I think I made it clear I thought it likely is trolling. We still like to stick it to Mike whenever possible, he is so worthy of disdain and ridicule for his cheating and lying not to mention hurting innocent people with his narcissism. Here's to Mike, UP YOURS!

Did you miss the excellent song "Boston Bandit" about Rossi?
http://picosong.com/Er6s/And a page or so back these claims of unknown authenticity were made:
Rumor Has It wrote
"Well that may come to fruition after all. Rumor has it, to put it mildly, that a very well respected individual and runner, along with several others, have gotten an audience (i.e., a meeting) with some senior VIA folks to present compelling information and discuss none other than M. Rossi and the handling or more accurately, the mishandling by Barb McKeever."
Mickey Mouse wrote
"It's not a rumor. "They" have put together an extremely thorough pitch (excellent team of sleuths and other important individuals, code naming "hair plugs" here for fun), which thanks to Mike's ego includes his turkey trot antics, along with examples of how such blatant cheating is handled 99% of the time. Most importantly, reputational risk to VIA maintaining it's decision is also highlighted. They should have no problem putting an end to this now since their original decision was not conclusive in their own words. Word is one of the committee members flagged Mike in some articles and took up more interest.
Mike, karma is just beginning to work its way through you. Don't forget you brought this all on. You might want to continue lying low over the next several months. Hopefully the DW will conincide with the deadline for the $200k offer... What a grand finale"

Wejo offered Rossi $1 million for the 3:11 challenge. Mike says he doesn't work for tips but appreciates a good plug.

This would be the right decision. As it stands, the race looks bad for not DQing the cheat Mike Rossi.
If he is DQ'd, there should also be a petition and action to remove Rossi from the 2015 Boston results since he did not qualify to run therefore his time is void and results in a DQ.

I suspect that would happen in short order. There are people who know Dave and would express their righteous desire to kick the MF cheater Mike Rossi out.

The family MUST know he was voted Loser of the Year. Can only imagine what kind of damage control & denial is required to deal with that. It is sad that he must feel his only option is to double down with lies rather than rip the bandage off and come clean. Otherwise, that cheater tattoo is forever. Way to go dad.

Truly amazing. Yes I missed it.
Who made that song? I mean it's a little long but want to hype it on the WTW. The guy deserves major props.

His handle is Baladeer - I guess that you can't summarize a 1000+ page thread in a 3 minute pop song so he went with an epic work, I wonder if he would consider a radio edit ?
I will be out running and the refrain "I did it, I did it, you're just jealous of me, 'cos when I was young, I was on the TV" will pop into my head at random times, but I resist the urge to cut short the run and then edit the Garmin track later to look more awesome.

It's hard for me to wear any Boston gear without thinking of that idiot Rossi and him strutting about in his cheater outfits. I hope he is feeling like the creep he is when he dons his beanwear and it helps identify as Loser of the Year when he is out in public. 'Hey...shhhh...there he is, that cheater dude!'

Whenever I see anyone wearing Boston Marathon gear, I immediately think of Rossi and associate that person with being an incredible douche. Boston is tarnished. I used to have so much respect for people who ran it. Now, I have very little respect. Quite a shame.

Very interesting... Did you develop this viewpoint before or after Rosie Ruiz's win?

I still respected many who have worked hard to get there but I also can't respect an org who can allow such cheating to be enabled for any reason. I get it that it is Via's and Barb's fault, but Boston still has The God Card to play and should burn them all new ones. So it running Boston doesn't mean what it once did, I suppose that goes for much in today's society where the brave are torn down and the mediocre are called Mr. President.
Forgive my many errors, 'I still respect...' and 'So if running...'
Wholeheartedly agree. If I were in Dave's shoes as RD of the Boston Marathon I would issue lifetime bans to those that cheat to get in and devote someone on staff to handle these types of complaints before the race so cheaters have ample time to be DQ'dThere needs to be accountability. So far the message is if you cheat you can run down Boylston!

I think it just shows what Boston is about - filling their quota. I don't think they really care about integrity any more. It's just about signing up as many runners as they can handle. Boston used to be great. The Rossi episode tarnished it
The BAA doesn't care... Sh*t, they make more money from charity bibs than BQers...At least, last time I checked... Now they're up to three waves?
Anyway... Mikey- you still SVCK, while you're still in the game, baby.

Are you freakin serious?
You have very little respect for everybody who trains hard and doesn't cheat to run Boston (probably 99%) just because a loser cheated at a podunk marathon?
