What ever happened to david torrence? Lousy 5k tonight
Women's 10k Section 2 is running. Last race of the night. All strung out but no big breaks, about 5:07 at 1600m. Actually there is a break between about 20th place and the next pack, maybe a 15m gap there.
Sorry I didn't get names. Two Japanese runners at the front, then two from Peru. A 10:16 at 3200 so moving really well in this second section.

can you please let me know how Rachel Mitchell and Alycia Cridebring are doing in the W 10k S2? is there any way i can find lap splits or a video feed?
Sorry, I dunno of a feed besides flotrack. The timing site is

Will keep a listen out for those names.
Lead pack through 6k in 19:22.
9 in the front pack. Chase group is a ways back, they mentioned Bracy and Pagano in that pack.
What do their jerseys look like? (Mitchell and Cridebring)
they'll probably be running in the 33 minute range so not in the lead pack
8 laps to go, 21:56. Great pace up front, 32:15 pace. Chase pack 22:18 at 8 laps to go. They mentioned Lindsay Flanagan making a move to continue hanging with the front pack of 9, which I think is led by a Peruvian (?) athlete with two Japanese women behind her.
Also hanging on that front pack is Burla, Lindsay Flanagan falling slightly off. Leader is I think Huiza, she's gotten a bit of a gap (maybe 8 meters) on the two Japanese runners. Big move up front! 5 laps left.
Leader still stringing it out with Japanese runners about together in 2-3.Looking very strong up front is Huiza from Peru. Everyone else pretty spread out at this point. It's Ando in second, who was leading much of it. The gap is probably 25m now, maybe 30m.
Huiza at 29:31 at 2 laps to go, hoping to sneak under that 32min mark out front. Ando still running strong in second with another Japanese runner about 20m back from her, then another gap.
Huiza charging down the backstretch, lapping some runners. Looks like a nice last lap, she goes 3155. Ando runs 3207 for second. It's Kuwahara 3214 in 4rd, then Burla 3217. Flanagan 3222, Hernandez 3236, Pagano/Morgan/Dimoff/Allison 3246. Bracy 3301.
Cridebring was 33:12, missed Mitchells (no quicker than 33:30...)

Nice PR!
When is Fernandez gonna forget the 15 and move up to the 5? I think he has much more potential at this distance.
Why was Spisak in the 2nd heat of the 10k? He ran by himself and put down a 28:20. And that was with a rabbit who didn't know what he was doing.
Bummer for McNeill--287:45.01, missing the standard by one-one hundredth of a second. Still a huge PR for him though! Always been a fan.

Fernandez dropping out has nothing to do with what event he is in
He clearly has bigger issues than that

Great time. Is this his first professional race?
