51 seconds 1st 400. Solomong catches him 600 in.
It is windy. Entire field moving up now.

Kipkoech vs sowinski leg 2
1:47 high leg 1 for Kenya
Hug leg for Sowinski 1:44. on that leg. US with big lead but this is far from over.
Kitum the bronze medallist is vs Loxsom
US 4.7 seconds up going into the anchor. Andrews should have this
US men 4x1 same order as silver team from London with Rodgers lead off instead of Kimmons, thats why Bailey anchor
Great job by U.S. men and a fast time: 7:04.85. Sowinski's second leg broke it open and they won impressively.
Kenya got DQ'ed. Was it because they got in the way of Australia's anchor leg? Looked like Williamsz had to dodge them on the final exchange.
You hear anything in the stadium Weldon?
Kenya Disqualified
Looks like Kenya made the second exchange too early and was DQ'ed.

I'm sorry. You don't DQ someone for that. I hope there is an appeal and they win. They deserve the 2nd place monehy. There were only 5 teams in the race.
You don't want to reward people for travelling all around the globe to go the Bahamas with a DQ that didn't impact the income. It's like an uncathable ball and pass interference. Pick up the freaking flag.
A great run by the USA!!! Sowinski was a beast!!!
the 3rd runner ran back in front of exchange zone. Can't do that no matter where exchange is

They barely beat Poland for second. It probably didn't affect the outcome, but Kenya's third leg could tell the second leg was tying up and went back to the start of the zone to get the baton as quickly as possible.
There aren't many rules in a relay, but one of them is hand off within the (large) exchange zone. It's unfortunate, but I think Kenya has to be DQ'ed. It's not that hard to make the pass within the zone in a 4x800.
Ok. If it's an exchange violation, then I'm fine with it. Obstruction - no way.
Here is a screen shot of the US celebrating gold:

wow 3 of the 4 legs from the USA 4 x 1 team has served a drug suspension
I don't agree with the women's US gun pose during the introduction. With the recent US gun and shooting problems, I think it was inappropriate. They need to be educated...otherwise, they're just the same thugs.
Kenya DQ for handoff too soon on leg #3.
US team was pumped about gold.
The order the ran was designed to get it to Robbie a close race. Instead he had a huge lead. He did what you should do and take it out strong.
Instead of panic when he heard the crowd roar as the Kenyan anchor was getting close, Robbie said he knew that mean he had gone out hard to catch him.
Robbie was very pleased with his training.
Solomon said he had a stomach virus before Mt Sac.
Cas has been training in Flag with some of the Polish guys and Nick Symmodns.
Sowinski had the leg of the day and figured not many people could run with him if he ran well.
3:18 (moser), 49.9 SRR, 2:00.2 (wilson). US way in front for the anchor for Rowbury.
So i went back and watched the 4 x 800, using my phone for splits (I can't find my freaking watch and I hate watching a meet with out a watch). The IAAF site still doesn't ahve them up.
I really thought the US guys ran smart races and their first laps were good.
I had DUane in 147.14. It was probably al ittle slower given i started it on my phone so 147.4. It was hard to get his first 400 split as they didn't show it. They said the leader was 51 so he was 51-52.
Sowinski was an animal I had him going out in 49.08. Now my watch malfunctioned so my second lap was taken from a different viewing. I had 55.79 So he ran 145.9!!
Loxsom also went out fast. I hadd him giong out in 48.97! His total time? Not sure I'll subtract if from the other guys.
It was hard to get Andrews as well. I had him out in something between 50.4-50.9. The 2nd time i did it i had 50.9. That's fast for him. He then rested and ran a 28.67 (and that's assuming it was a 50.9, it if was 50.4 he ran a 29.1), he then pored it on for victory - 27.28. So total that's what? 50.9+55.95. So roughly 146.9-147?
Wait based on my math - Sowinski was he the fastest -144.6? Is that right?
I'm watching the ZNS broadcast. The announcers really don't understand the way the front runner will run evenly, while the chaser tries to fly and die to make up the gap. Both with andres and with AWilson, they hype the acceleration of the Kenyans and the US being too relaxed. Obviously, they are running controlled.
RIP: D3 All-American Frank Csorba - who ran 13:56 in March - dead
