why would Superman run a marathon when he could just fly? Same with leaping tall buildings in a single bound. Flying trumps everything.
Why spend time flying when you can teleport...Teleporting trumps everything.

Shades of the great Gary Fanelli. Those were the days.
Came in here to say that but you beat me to it. Gary is something else. He is still a good runner and about as entertaining as can be.

He could have at least shaved his face.
Runner runs 2hrs 29 mins in a costume and 2hrs 17 the week b4 and is dismissed as a moron by another runner. It says it all really.Runners are wondering then why non runners pay no attention to the sport.A fellow runner should be the first to recognise the blood, sweat and tears and pain it takes to run those times. As he suffers himself in training he should acknowledge the suffering of his fellow runner.Instead he attempts to tear him down.Runners for the most part don't even like each other. It's the sad truth.

They have learned how to behave from LR.

Why do you think he's a moron? He's a well-known runner in the UK and is a really good guy.

Maybe global warming won't be so bad. It will put us out of existential pain.
Intolerance and mindless arrogance. It's not a new problem, but it certainly seems to be a growing problem and it is behind so much violence and terrible events that occur in this world today. People decide that whatever they perceive is the correct way for people to behave (what religion, how to dress, etc. etc.), it is necessarily the only correct way for everyone in the world to behave. They have an absolute unwavering conviction that that are in the right. Anybody who doesn't conform to what they have decided is "right" is subject to all manner of hatred and violence - and yes, insults are bullying. You are tying to demean and devalue another human being because they don't behave how you think they should behave.
This thread insulting someone for running in a spider man suit, the thread about the Boston runner - so much intolerance, insults and attempts to devalue other human beings. You may differentiate yourselves from those who take that intolerance to abhorrent levels, but, don't kid yourself. It's all part of the problem.
Anyway, I'm wasting my words here, but, if you want to make the world a better place - be kind. We all make this world what it is. Remove the small bit of negativity that you are putting out into the world.

Whoa there buddy, what's insulting is to put the Boston try-hard in the same category as this guy.

So why bother with your long reproach. Also, learn to lighten up, life isn't so bad.

The bigger typo is that the guy was clearly dressed as Spider-Man, not Superman.
Obviously he gave the wrong link.
This was an article about Spiderman running 2:29.
They didn't catch up with Superman, who ran 2:28. He had already changed back into Clark Kent when the reporter got there so he just interviewed Spiderman.
The OP hasn't broken 2:50 dressed as a runner.
You might be boston guy! wrote:

I think she put the people talking about the two in the same category, not the two runners themselves. Although, posting to LRC and asking for people to be kind? Is it an elaborate troll? I can't decide. But I'd give it a 2/10, originality marks only as I've never seen that before.

Correct. And the Flash had already warmed down over the course in reverse. Aquaman was chilling in the Thames by that time and the Hulk was kicking down Dean Karnazes somewhere around the 3:18 mark, stopping to puke and yell "Hulk smash!!" at him twice.
Batman would have gone 2:18:55.
Really impressive run only a week after another marathon. Most impressed that he took the camera along and recorded bits of the race.
