I dialed in as late as 1996, or maybe even 1997. So he did the track line for a number of years, not just one or two. The alternative was to wait for TnF News, some 2 months later, or if you got lucky you'd catch some snippets in USA Today.

He called a race of mine in Monaco in 1993 that I have on tape and will never forget. He was the voice of track and field well before message boards and anonymity ruled the sport. Safe travels good man.
