Every one of us would watch, hating but devouring the show.

I know one of those guys! I'd watch.
My question is why Brad's group? Aren't there more compelling stories out there with more competitive groups? Brad would be interesting to watch, but I haven't really heard of anyone else in that group, other than Cabada.
So, you'd rather watch a NOP "reality" show where they all hug, and pray together. Where Al Sal is on good behavior all of the time. Where NOP is painted as the cleanest program of all time. Where Rupp and Mo takes jacuzzi baths together. Where Mo trains with people he doesn't know are drug cheats. Where NOP drops out of races at the last second. A comedy series, in other words.
I wonder if it would just be a documentary vs. an actual tv show. As a running fan, I'd be intrigued. If I were a competing athlete, I'd probably be interested with some underlying competitive jealousy. As an athlete on the show, I'd prepare for a giant bulls-eye to be on my back at races.
Seems to me that a tv show about people running would get boring. Running is not that exciting really.
The only way it would work is if all the runners live in the same house and there is a lot of drama and the show some races and really only focus on the drama. That wouldn't be too interesting to me.
Another option is to have two or three houses of runners. They live together and prepare for one meet like cross country nationals or the US Olympic Trials. The teams compete in different meets as build ups and we get to know the teams and get to see them go through some highs and lows as the season goes along. The finale is cross country nationals or US Olympic Trials where the teams compete against each other.
A third option is the runners on a team have some drama in the house living together but they are ultimately are like brothers and sisters and support each other through the ups and downs as their big races come during the season of the show. The finale is the top runners running in the Olympic Trials.
Sleep eat, run, eat, sleep, run, eat, sleep.
A friend of mine who knows the Brad Hudson training group well said that Brad's group has been approached about doing a reality tv show. I don't know if this is true or not as I'm not familiar enough with the group, so I don't want to debate that (although given Brad's twitter post today it would make sense with the video coverage - https://twitter.com/vivarinbrad/status/593179150845747201). But the question is would you watch if it were to happen?
Nobody outside of hardcore runners will watch this. 90% of the population see running/distance track/marathon/jogging as interchangeable.

Ooh! Let's watch frail people do stuff casual viewers won't care about.
Lots of Nike logos though. Usatf will buy commercial time so Nike gets logos on TV. Good thing you guys are funding usatf.

Ha. I love when people say "I know him.." What does that mean? Does that tell us you are something?

I'd tune in to watch Maggie Callahan. She's a cutie.
One cute girl won't make the show though. There's gotta be some drama to make it interesting. Guaranteed the producers will weave some interesting storylines!
This would've been good a few years ago with the Zach Hine and Molly Pritz drama.
And then last year with the Adrienne Herzog situation.
Seems like a group that is more about marketing than performing. None of the athletes have done much on the "elite" level since being in that group.
