Seeing the praises of Krummenacker in yesterday's NY Times about plyos (his coach has 63 (!) different exercises) and Geb's declared use of them (and whatever Geb does should be noted by the rest of the serious running world), I am wondering about other's success?
I myself use plyos about 1-2 tmes per week after a tempo run or speed workout, usually doing bounding (on a hill), hill hops, hill springs, high knees, backwards running, and fast steps.
My question is: Does this improve your running through virtue of strength gains or quickness imrpovement or coordination or all of the above?
Replies are appreciated.
