Monday's effort is worth 6 minutes faster on a flat course in light wind. As for his ability to push himself, I have full faith in his ability.

He was closer to his PR than Lelisa and Ritz ran out front quite a bit of the way. He's clearly in great shape. I'm guessing he could PR by quite a bit on a fast course (Chicago or Berlin). I honestly don't think 2:06 would be out of the question.
Ritz is 1 to 2 marathons away from retirement: US Olympic Trials and the Olympics.
Ritz runs poorly in the heat. Rio will be warm. Avg temp for August in Rio is about 70 degrees.

You obviously don't think at all. As for others, I believe that quite a few actually think clearly so you would be wrong about that as well.
This all you've got? If Meb thought like you he would have never won silver in Athens, never won the trials in 2012, never won NY or Boston. If you don't think you will pr ever again then you never will. Keep thinking you're clever, one day you will grow up and realize you were just another dumb ass.

Is that the best you can do? Seriously.
Just so you will know, Meb and Ritz are two different people. And if Meb thinks like I do then he will realize that Ritz will NEVER again pr. Weird that you think that this would prevent Mebb from performing well.
Again, for review, Meb and Ritz are two different people.
Try to think. Seriously, it isn't that hard.

Cool story, bro.
Hope you realize that there is not one single knowledgeable student of the sport who thinks that Ritz will ever again come close to his current PR let alone 2:06.
But cool story anyway.
No one cares what you think.
Bro.

Bro, you are not important.
Do you even think bro?
This site has got to eliminate the dyestat scourage of multiple nesting quotations taking up the entire page. That means you.
Meb was vomiting multiple times from his drink going down wrong, so we can't judge much about it, and we know that Ritz doesn't want to overdo and injure himself, so he held back until the last mile, rather than putting it all out there on the course the way that Meb does when he's healthy. That weather wasn't worth 4 minutes. They ran tactically because fighting the wind was likely to tire them out so that they might lose to their competitors, not that they couldn't have run faster. Desisa hammered those last miles when he needed to. Ritz's performance was worth his usual marathon of 2:09 high. But if he stays healthy all year, he should be worth 2:09 or high 2:08 for the trials next year and he should make the team. In the Olympics, again if he stays healthy, he's surely on target for top ten again. To do better, he'd have to have a long stretch of very high quality training without injury, which has been rarely possible for him.

Apparently important enough to have taken over control of your mind. So yeah, maybe not all that important.
