That's one brilliant marketing plan you have there. The shirt is so good you can't show it?

Always got to be critical malmo. We're rewarding our most loyal visitors. Idea came about when Tracksmith said we could have shirts at the story but people would have to ask for them.
But less cynical (ie younger) people are buying the shirts. Thank you LRC Nation!

It worked for me.

You mean naive.

I'm not sure how my post is "cynical"? Perhaps we have different dictionaries? ;-) Are those Tracksmith T-shirts or garden variety?
For 15 bucks, I'm in.
I just did it through Paypal. Thanks wejo
UGLY
Cool I paid $20 for it yesterday...
Doesnt anybody here run road races?
I have 100 shirts in my closet and gave another 30 away last year
Me, pay you, for a drab green colored t-shirt emblazoned with the LRC name and some stupid statement about Rupp? I'd rather deflate my one and only love doll!
Where can I get the blue LRC shirt? That's head and shoulders above the grey shirt or the winner from the crowdsourcing page. Is that for employees only? It looks like it was designed by Brooks.
Why would anyone want a blue LR shirt with some guy running while wearing antlers on his head??

1) Based on the design of this site, I would never buy something from letsrun.com sight unseen.
2) Clicking the link further down the thread, it's obvious that letsrun.com is trying to hide their Oregon/NOP/Rupp bias/hate.
Lame!

I think it's more likely they are poking fun of those like you who insist that they have an Oregon/NOP/Rupp bias/hate.
Shirts are AWFUL. Do not buy.
A shirt with a letsrun logo would be so cool, I'd be all over that. These, no way.

They're not that clever.

Agreed. It looks like a Cafe Press reject.
While we've all used the overplayed phrase "Rupp-certified" before, there is a time and a place for everything. This ain't it. To use that image to project your website to the world is not very clever. It’s dumb and dumberer. Delayed adolescence. It looks like something you’d see on Coney island, right next to the "I'm Rick James, bitch!" shirt. Catering to the sartorial tastes of nikeman and txrunnergirl will neve be cool.
Why not take the much-maligned, universally 'meh' Letsrun logo, and do a make-over? Render the logo into the recognizable artistic styles of great artists -- Van Gogh, Monet, Picasso, Dali, Pollock, Warhol, even our own Borbay -- and create a collectable 'Artist Series'? Screen four color process images on shirts and now you have something of value. Turn the ‘meh’ into ‘hell yeh’!. If you can’t resist putting lame Letsun memes on your shirts, then “Uhm..ever hear of Monet” on the back won’t diminish the product too much.
It’s not as though there are no artists reading Letsrun capable of doing the job. Find em, and hire em. If not, I'd bet there’s software out there that would do it for you, but then it goes right back to your own lack of skill and vision to pull it off.

Seriously?
I like the inside joke and all but the execution is abominable. At what point do you guys actually pay someone money to do some design work?
