A source told me that they tried to get him to wear it and he refused. He's going with the USA jersey.

Doing the men's introductions right now. Naturally Meb got the loudest cheer.
Women just passed a bundle of balloons(hanging from tree) which were bobbing up and down....but there is no wind per the announcers???!!!
With the staggered start the women have pretty much exlusive coverage for 30 minutes. The men will start and the coverage will be split between the men's and women's races. Then when the men's race is heating up the coverage will focus largely on the women's race finishing. Why do they do this when most viewers would prefer to watch the men's race? At least there are no shot-putters to steal the coverage away.

Assuming you're joking, but if not, she's not running.
Tola out like a rocket at the start. No one can keep up.
Geb doesn't get an official introduction but Ritz does? Okay then ...
Women’s race splits
Mile 1: 5:38 (Nemec leads large pack)
Mile 2: 5:28 (11:06)
Mile 3: 5:19 (16:25) (Deba took the lead at 4k, drops three women, pack stringing out with Desi a few meters off the back)
5K: 16:57 (2:23:03 pace)
Mile 4: 5:23 (21:48) Linden in the lead. 11 women in the lead group
Mile 5: 5:46 (27:34) Deba leading, still group of 11
Slowest mile by far.
Another joker in an orange singlet out hard with the leaders, but already fell off.
Tola, Desisa, Tsegay leading with a gap on the rest, but quickly reeled in.
Larry Rawson referred to Shalane as "Flanny". The commentary is going to get worse before it gets better.

"Meb says in big field you want to get out to make sure you're not tripped, then settle in."
I am pretty sure that was Tolas idea. Stay out of trouble.
These guys weight 80 lbs, If someone touches them, they'll fall.
Is anyone listening to the NE broadcas? They started to say someting about Tola getting hear late after driving 400 miles but thenn in the media room, they switched to Larry Rawson.
Anyway, the 3 Ethiopians men are out hard - pulling a Ryan Hall and leading. And on our radio show Toni Reavis said, "Ethiopians never lead."
I guess they never lead on the track, but do in the marathon. Desisa, Tola and Tsegay were smiling, cracking inside jokes.
Official weather at men's start for men 46 degrees. 86% humidiity. WInd at start - Calm (zero).
Who is the joker #162 blasting out leading the men's?
Derek Yorek (NY) is leading. He doesn't even have a personalized bib.
Derek Yorek!
Derek Yorek FTW!
Another race another dbag
So who is the joker in the green singlet?
How fast was that first mile? I don't have sound.
Drek Yorek with early lead, has 14:22 5K result so he should lead for at least mile or two
Definitely Yorek's race to lose
Jakob Ingebrigtsen has a 1989 Ferrari 348 GTB and he's just put in paperwork to upgrade it
Strava thinks the London Marathon times improved 12 minutes last year thanks to supershoes
Is there a rule against attaching a helium balloon to yourself while running a road race?
