I noticed after watch a replay of the 2012 Olympic men's 10000....it was over 1 MILLION.....I was surprised it was that HIGH?...to include the Marathon and 800 meters and WOMEN
but what race has the most views?

that's a lot a views for T and F
It SHOULD be the 800WR video.
And if it isn't that, it SHOULD be one of DragonBLADES2000's Hicham El Guerrouj uploads. I like the Mile WR one the most.
Now where's Mike?

David's WR is right behind @ 1.4 million.
youtube view counts are meaningless. There are countless shit videos with millions of views because youtube keeps pushing them for ad revenue.
I thought it would have been El Gs mile record just because the mike is a popular event and people like records. But '12 Only has that beat too. 1.4M to Mos 1.5

#WhamSauce is the leader--by far.
Wish it was the 10,000m final from 2000 Olympics between Tergat and Gebreselassie. CLASSIC Geb finish. That is under 200,000 views though.
Nielsen's beer mile WR has 1.389 million views
Dave Wottle's 800 from 1972 has 1.53 million, the most I found. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5LHid-nC45k

Top two versions of the 1984 Olympic 3000m final with Decker and Budd are only 92k and 42k. Arguably, the most famous women\'s distance track race ever.

I thought it would be 1972 Munich 5k, since I've probably watched it over 100 times myself hoping Pre would at least hang on for the bronze.
Coleman's words at roughly the 10 minute mark of the race are hauntingly prophetic:

I think it's one of the most viewed for a High School distance race event.

There are 3 Heather Dorniden Fall Youtube videos of appx 640K/20K/32K...thought there would be more of those, but I guess it simply hasn't been around that long.
I know it's not a race, but the Kayla Montgomery E60 has over 10 million views! 10,665,744 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kpA-FsKLA6A
I have no idea what's going on here, but this is another contender - 1.8m views for a women's 4:30 1500m.

Also this completely in consequential clip from the LA marathon has 3.5m views!
