First Kamworor has to get selected; he doesn't have much of a track record and it will be no easy task unless the selectors believe his hype.

And stay injury free.
Injuries, the greatest leveler and humbling experience any athlete can have, especially one whose been shouting their mouth off.
But good luck to him, T&F needs more like him

Okay, keep debating with the other 15-17 minute 5Kers about how soft the HM world record is, you still missed the point of the post entirely.
No one is debating that. We have not disclosed our PRs. The premise of his point is incorrect so no I did not miss the point. If the premise is wrong, there is no point.

It could be interesting. It may be in Farah's advantage to have the race faster than not. Someday someone is gunna come along again who has a better kick on the day (like Jeilan did). If Mo is capable of running into the 26:30 and even 26:2x time frame, he might be better off with a faster pace than a slower pace.
Farah got beat in his 12:53 fastest time ever 5k.
That and his 26:46 are as fast as he's been able to run, regardless of the pace.

Nope, you are mixing Farah up with Lagat - it was Lagat who finished second, and Farah first, when Mo ran 12:53.

No he did not get beaten in either race.
Those are as fast as he's ever NEEDED to run. With final laps of 53 and 54 respectably, you're a food if you don't think he can run much faster.

Are you implying The Mo is undefeated?
Not the first time the Kenyans boasted about taking no prisoners. Same kind of brash talk with Bekele. Same with Farah. Was it Brendon Karoki that talked trash a few years ago? Kenyans think too much about tactics these days.
Kenyans these days need to get advice from a legend, Daniel Komen:
“A soldier does not discuss his tactics before he goes to battle"

No, idiot, I am saying 26:46 and 12:53 are as fast as he's ever needed to run to win.
Given that he did not get beaten in that race …. do you still disagree? Why?

Ignore oodk.
He routinely claims many 1500m specialists could run a sub 60 minute half if only they ran it, and how it is such a soft mark.
By "a better kick on the day", Jeilan winning in 2011 Worlds came down to running smarter. Mo learned a lot from that race -- Jeilan was great again in Worlds 2013, but Mo ran smarter on that day.
Kamworor will be selected for worlds as he'll run well at Pre. He'll do what he says at worlds. I give him about a 1 in three chance of winning. Mo will be ready, Rupp will be ready, Jeilan will be hungry, and there are another several East Africans capable of medaling.
Really looking forward to the Pre race. I'm a die hard 10,000 fan and it's great to have a talented kid gunning for it!

Need three Kenyans to alternate 60/68 per lap for 25 laps.
Worst strategy posted yet. That's pretty much what they did in 2012 while Farah ran an even pace and saved his energy.
Agreed. Farah just sat back while all the Kenyans burned their legs with that ridiculous strategy. Then when it came time to kick Galen and Mo were the only ones with energy to kick.

I don't disagree with you; "better kick on the day" is a general comment. Basically, in a slower race, I think there are a lot more variables coming in to play. If Mo has the strength to go fast and long, and someone else willing to do the work leading the way, I think it could improve his chances of winning over having to out kick a bunch of guys in the home straight.
And I agree Mo learned a lot that day, as did Sal, imo.
Kamworor runs exactly like Ngugi did. He will beat Farah by FIFTY METERS!!!

Why should that lead to me being ignored? That doesn't make sense. I didn't say sub 60 was "such" a soft mark. What I did actually just say is that 60 is almost 2 minutes off the world record.
Are you really claiming that 2 minutes slower than the record is "such" a strong time?
What is so wrong about saying many 1500m guys are able to run 60 or faster? You're not explaining your viewpoint. You're just being negative for no reason. Farah himself has demonstrated that a 1500m guy can run sub 60. Webb likely could have also when he was in 1:43/3:46/27:30 shape. El G might have been able to also.
Explain why you think they couldn't.
