After this report came out, I went into my chemistry lab and pulled out a syringe just to get a visual on how much product 50mL actually is and was quite shocked. That's a lot of product that's being administered every 6 hours (if taken every 6 hours)!
Aside from all that, in response to the claim from these athletes that it didn't work to enhance performance, pardon me for not doing the research, but is there any correlation to the dates these athletes took the injections and their PR's? To me, if their PR's correspond to the dates of when these injections were being taken place, I don't think it's a stretch then to assume that the l-carnitine did in fact have a profound effect on training.
Lastly, awhile back Steve Magness was quoted on here saying how he left the NOP partly because of things they were doing that he deemed odd. Wasn't there an actual quote from him saying that if 'x' was an arbitrary number representing the limit, the NOP were trying to utilize as many methods to get as close to it as possible, and even alluded to it as perhaps being a bit unethical. Do you think these injections are what he was alluding to, no?
