From wejo:
I too had thought Cheserek might not have that much upside. He had seemed to have hit a plateau, we received reports we could never confirm that he was older than stated, so I wouldn't have predicted him becoming a superstar right off if ever.
For guys that had threads of over 600 posts dedicated to Henry Rono the oldest guy of major note in Collegiate History(maybe the old UTEP guys too) I find this laughable:
and from Rojo..too? You guys could not be less accurate and uninformed if you tried.
Cheserek raced way too much and was continuously put in severe chasing situations where he would go out way too hard
I mean seriously did you guys ever see him run in HS? Do you even go to Penn?
Even the lost difficult of critics, who have seen him up close or interacted with him, do not think he is that old at all.
I will agree that some informed people thought that he may pork up even further and have issues. The others thought that once in a great training group, he would slim down and dominate like he has.
Even if he is 22 OR 23, which I doubt. he is by far the best guy in the NCAA and maybe one of the best in history already.
I do not think Ches is any older or should be suspected of such, anymore than Lomong and any other African transplant.
I am surprised with no evidence this stuff is still put out on here. Really? It matters not even if he is old, he is killing folks that are good. Ala Henry Rono who was at least 25 in his best year
